The burpee box jump over, as far as I understand, came about similar to the toes-to-bar: the original movement is really difficult to judge rep/no rep, so this makes it a lot easier on judges. So if you want to do this movement as listed, just know there are certain movement standards that would be overlooked that have nothing to do with rep count - things like landing position, elasticity in the ankles/feet, and rhythm.
WORKOUT THEMES
Squatting with a medium weight and jumping with a ton of range of motion (also clearing an obstacle); stamina ends up playing a major factor in intensity
MAIN DECISION
Do the burpee box jump overs as listed, include a standard to fit a different purpose, or just focus on either the burpee or the box jump

Globo scale: if space is a concern do burpee box jumps (prefered) or bar facing or bar over burpees instead of burpee box jump overs. If using iron plates touch and go the reps without dropping. If in a hotel gym, at home with dumbbells, or in Planet Fitness do dumbbell deadlifts with two dumbbells 50/75lb dumbbells (hotel/home gym use the heaviest available dumbbells, uto 50/75lbs) , and burpees over the dumbbells or over a bench (if allowed and if space allows).
Bodyweight sub do burpee broad jumps or jumps to an object (wall, steps, platform, ect) , and deadlift a heavy object like a stone. Failing that sub in strict pullups (scale as necessary). If not deadlifting due to equipment do supermans and hamstring curls (ground, chair or object), pre or post wod.
