1. THE SPONSOR: The 2026 Spirit of the Open Award is sponsored by CrossFit, LLC, located at 3623 Crossings Dr., Suite 223, Prescott, AZ 86305 (“CrossFit”).

 

2. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN.

 

3. THE CONTEST: The 2026 CrossFit Open Spirit of the Open Award (the “Contest”) is a skill-based promotion. To enter, create and publish original content (the “Submission”) that nominates a person in the CrossFit community who exemplifies the Spirit of the Open. Winners will be selected based on the judging criteria set forth below. This is not a random drawing.

 

4. CONTEST PERIOD: The Contest begins on February 23, 2026 at 12:00 AM PT and runs through March 24, 2026, at 11:59 PM PT.

 

5. HOW TO ENTER: Submissions are made by posting on social media during the Contest Period. Submissions can make use of any of the following formats:

  • Video: 3 minutes or less in any aspect ratio that works on your platform.
  • Photo with a caption that is 250 words or less.
  • Original, non-infringing graphics, memes, or gifs.

Share your CrossFit story on your social platform of choice (Instagram, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok are all accepted).

Tag use the hashtag #SOTO2026 in your post.

Limit one (1) entry per person per week during the Contest Period. No purchase is required to enter.

 

7. ELIGIBILITY: Open to all entrants worldwide, regardless of nationality or origin. Void where prohibited. This Contest is offered and available to users who are 13 years of age or older. By entering the Contest, you represent and warrant that you are of legal age to form a binding contract with CrossFit, LLC and meet all of the foregoing eligibility requirements. If a winner is under the age of majority in their jurisdiction of residence, the prize will be awarded in the name of the winner’s parent or legal guardian, who must execute any required documentation.

 

8. JUDGING: All eligible Submissions will be reviewed by CrossFit based on the following criteria:

  • Relevance to the Spirit of the Open theme
  • Creativity and originality
  • Quality and clarity of the Submission

Each criterion will be weighted equally. CrossFit will select one (1) winner each week during the Contest Period and one (1) additional winner the week following the close of the Contest. All judging decisions are final and binding.

Odds of winning depend on the number and quality of eligible Submissions received.

 

9. PRIZES: Four (4) prizes will be awarded.

Each prize consists of one (1) Rogue Ohio Bar – Cerakote. Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) per prize: $350. Total ARV of all prizes: $1,400.

The prize consists only of those items specifically listed. No substitution, transfer, or cash redemption of prize is permitted by the winner. CrossFit reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value. All prizes will be awarded.

Winners are responsible for any applicable taxes, duties, customs fees, or other charges imposed by their jurisdiction.

 

10. HOW TO COLLECT PRIZES: Winners will be notified through the social media platform where the nomination was received by March 24, 2026. Failure to respond within seven (7) business days of the date on which CrossFit, LLC sends the notification whether due to server malfunction or any other cause, will result in disqualification. CrossFit, LLC will not be liable for entrants’ inability to receive notifications through social media.

 

11. GRANT OF RIGHTS: All Submissions will be considered non-confidential and non-proprietary. By entering the Contest, entrants grant to CrossFit, LLC and its respective licensees, successors, and assigns the right to use, reproduce, modify, perform, display, distribute, and otherwise disclose to third parties any such materials included in the Submission. Upon entering, entrants represent that they have complied with these Rules, the Submission does not infringe or violate any third-party rights, and their Submission does not violate any laws.

 

12. PUBLICITY: Except where prohibited by law, acceptance of a prize constitutes the winner’s consent to CrossFit’s use of the winner’s name, likeness, social media handle, biographical information, and Submission for promotional and advertising purposes in any media worldwide without further payment or consideration.

 

13. REPRESENTATIONS AND WARRANTIES: Submissions must in their entirety comply with all applicable federal, state, local, and international laws and regulations. Without limiting the foregoing, Submissions must not: (i) contain any material that is defamatory, obscene, indecent, abusive, offensive, harassing, violent, hateful, inflammatory, or otherwise objectionable toward CrossFit, LLC or other persons; (ii) promote sexually explicit or pornographic material, violence, or discrimination based on race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, or age; (iii) infringe any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright, or other intellectual property or other rights of any other person; (iv) violate the legal rights (including the rights of publicity and privacy) of others or contain any material that could give rise to any civil or criminal liability under applicable laws or regulations or that otherwise may be in conflict with these Rules and our Privacy Policy: (v) be likely to deceive any person; (vi) promote any illegal activity, or advocate, promote, or assist any unlawful act; and (vii) involve commercial activities or sales, such as contests, sweepstakes, and other sales promotions, barter, or advertising.

 

14. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY: By entering this Contest, entrants waive all right to, and hold the CrossFit, LLC harmless from, any claim, liability, loss, damage (including punitive, incidental, and consequential damages), or expense (including attorneys’ fees) arising out of or in connection with participation in this Contest or the acceptance, use, or misuse of any prize. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. CrossFit, LLC will not be responsible for: late, incomplete, or incorrect entries; an entrant’s failure to receive prize notices due to entrant’s spam, junk email, or other security settings or for entrants’ provision of incorrect or otherwise non-functioning contact information; technical, hardware, or software malfunctions, lost or unavailable network connections, or failed, incorrect, inaccurate, incomplete, garbled, or delayed electronic communications whether caused by the sender or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or used in this Contest; by any human error which may occur in the processing of the entries in this Contest; or any typographical, technological, or other error in the publishing of the offer, administration of the Contest, or announcement of the prizes. If there is any suspected evidence of tampering with any portion of the Contest, or if technical difficulties (including viruses and bugs) compromise the integrity of the Contest, CrossFit, LLC reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel or modify this Contest in a manner deemed appropriate. In the event of termination, winners will be selected from among all eligible entries received as of date of termination. In the event a dispute arises as to the identity of a potentially winning entrant, entries will be declared made by the name on the online entry form. ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, CROSSFIT, LLC RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK ANY AND ALL REMEDIES AVAILABLE FROM ANY SUCH PERSON(S) FOR THE ATTEMPT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

 

15. CHOICE OF LAW AND FORUM: Entrant agrees that all matters arising out of or relating to this Contest and these Rules are governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of California, without giving effect to any of its conflict of laws provisions thereof. Entrant further agrees that any legal suit, action, or proceeding arising out of or relating to this Contest and these Official Rules shall be brought exclusively in the applicable federal or state courts located in San Diego, California.

 

16. ARBITRATION: Without limiting any Party’s right to apply to a court of competent jurisdiction for the purpose of obtaining equitable relief, the Parties agree to submit any disputes arising from this Agreement to final and binding arbitration under the JAMS Comprehensive Arbitration Rules & Procedures. The arbitration shall be held in San Diego, California.

 

17. The Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook, Twitter, or any other social network. You are providing your information to CrossFit, not to any other party. The information provided will be used in conjunction with the United States standard Privacy Policies.

 

18. PRIVACY: Information submitted with an entry is subject to CrossFit, LLC’s Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions located on www.crossfit.com.
