Stimulus and Strategy:
Today's workout is made up of four back-to-back Tabata intervals. The Tabata interval is 8 rounds of 20 seconds of work, followed by 10 seconds of rest for each movement. Push to keep moving for as much of each 20-second effort as possible, shooting for at least 8 reps per interval. Expect the push-ups to be the most challenging. Rest as needed, but always try to squeeze out one more rep.

It's easy to make fun of people claiming 300 squats in a Tabata. BUT anyone claiming to average more than 18-19 squats or averaging more than 10-12 pushups per round is either in the 99th percentile of full of s#!^ :)
I remember about 6-7 years ago someone was brave enough to call my BS on the so called "pushups" that I was doing 120 unbroken of. Oh good ol' days when Cindy was 25+ rounds and Murph without a vest was approaching the coveted 30 minutes. I have been unsuccessfully chasing the 20 rounds of Cindy ever since I started doing honest pushups :)

Not sure if you're interested, or have tried, but until VERY recently, I struggled with standard push ups. Now I externally rotate my hands to allow for our (women's ) higher "carrying angle" & minimize elbow flare & I can crank them out (until my wrists start complaining). Angle your hands outward slightly rather than straight ahead. This position also allows you to push the floor away with your whole palm. There are a lot of examples floating around online for visuals too.💪
