Stimulus and Strategy:
Today's workout is a classic heavy day where we are attempting 5 heavy singles at 80-85%+ of a 1-rep max. If you are feeling good, attempt a new personal best on the third or fourth set. Compare your scores to your previous attempt. Remember, heavy is relative to each athlete's capacity and mechanics. We're interested in performing heavy singles with good technique, so if at any point during your warm-up or working sets, you demonstrate material faults, correct those before increasing weight — possibly decrease the weight before continuing to minimize the risk of injury.

Intermediate option:
Same as Rx’d.

Beginner option:
Same as Rx’d.

Did 5-5-5-5-5 since I do not have enough weights for heavy singles. 215-245-285-305-305. Didn't use the belt and concentrated on keeping my chest up, butt down, and rising shoulders and hips at the same rate not to round my lower back.

Met con - in 12 minutes 75 kb swings at 45 lbs 75 wall ball at 15lbs in sets of 25 alt

I just did heavy deadlifts after Wednesday's WOD (a few singles at 495lbs) but I wanted to try and get 505lbs today...it only levitated a little 😮‍💨

Was invited to by the group to participate in their Bulletproof workout so I did


4 rounds for reps

45 sec work at each station, 15 sec rest in between

KB Swing (35#)

Weight walking lunge steps (35# KB overhead carry)

Ball slams (16# ball)

30yd run

Sandbag squats (45# bag, front squat)

Didn't keep a good count but did at least 20 reps at each station other than the runs, those were 2 each round

Had about 10-12 minute transition to a different site and then did DL, 5 reps each weight

220531: 135-245, 5-10 reps each


Legs are a bit tender now. I'm sure HQ is going to reward me for this tomorrow.
