Did 10 AMRAP: single arm DB thruster -40lb.

149 reps...no warmup or food prior

Slow and steady 6-10 reps per side most of the way, then increased reps a little at the end as I increased speed. 70 at 5m mark....

Did this schedule:

Min 0-1: 0- 23 reps

Min 1-2: 23- 46 reps

Min 2-3: 46- 64 reps

Min 3 till 8: 10 reps and 10 dec rest or so


Plan was sustaining 23 reps per minute on 2-3 and 3-4 , then 20, then 14m5, then 13, then 10.


As you can see i still have work to get to that muscular and cardio endurance.


Feeling a lovely burn inside the chest and larinx.

New to crossfit and didn't have a spot for wallball shots. Subbed a multigrip bar push press because the inner angle grip mirrors the "holding a ball" position better.

Compare to: 9:42, 9' target and masked. Felt like I was moving faster than I was today. Maybe that extra foot made all the difference. Also didn't pace it for better time today going for bigger sets. Shoulders were on fire afterwards.

WORKOUT THEMES

Short and medium. A benchmark test for core-to-extremity stamina. Jumping, range of motion, and odd object are also themes.


ASSUMED

My squat for is good enough where I can focus on catching the ball and pushing through legs/arms burning.


MAIN DECISION

Game it as a benchmark or truly max out on your first set


TECHNIQUE SCALE

AMRAP in 15 minutes of:

15 wallballs

[pick one movement you suck at]


CONSISTENCY SCALE

Karen, but your workout stops when you break the rhythm


INTENSITY SCALE

5 rounds of:

Sprint 100 meters

30 wallballs

*rest as needed between rounds
