Step 1: Contact a Gym

Local CrossFit coaches and gym owners want to hear from you and learn about your goals, so please reach out. Ask about their schedule, prices, and classes to learn if CrossFit is a good fit for you.

Step 2: Join A Class

In a typical one-hour CrossFit class, athletes complete modified versions of the same workout together, and the coach will guide you through step-by-step.

Step 3: Learn the Fundamentals

Your gym will help you safely start your CrossFit journey, no matter how fit you are. Coaches teach you the foundational movements and adjust workouts to your fitness level.

Step 4: Commit, Connect, and Crush Your Goals

As you progress, you'll not only improve your fitness but also become a valued member of the CrossFit community. Over a decade ago, I walked into CrossFit High Voltage as a member, unaware it would change my life. Coaching reignited a passion I didn’t know was there. When Rachel and I took over HV, we knew we wanted to build a gym where every body belongs. From disability inclusion to dismantling outdated norms, our mission is clear: create a place where every effort is honored, every story matters, and everyone has a home in fitness.
