5 rounds for time of:
15 push presses
20 toes-to-bars
♀ 105-lb barbell
♂ 155-lb barbell
Post time to comments.
Stimulus and Strategy:
Today's workout is a couplet of heavy weightlifting and high-rep gymnastics. Don't let the two movements fool you; both will tax your upper and lower body. Aim to finish between 10-15 minutes, with some of you pushing closer to 8.
Expect to break the push presses into 2-3 sets. If you can go unbroken, go heavier. The 100 total toes-to-bars make this a high-volume workout that will drain intensity if not scaled properly — reduce reps first to allow for 2-4 sets across all 5 rounds. Scaling range of motion is secondary to maintaining volume if you can cycle reps efficiently.

5 Rounds for Time
🏋️ 15 Push Press (155 lbs RX)
🏋️ 20 Toes-to-Bar
Time: 35:33 RX
This was one of those workouts that tested me mentally more than physically.
The goal was to follow CrossFit's recommended pacing and finish in the 10–15 minute range. That plan disappeared almost immediately.
I came into this workout on 4–5 straight days of less than 4 hours of sleep because my one-year-old son is going through a sleep regression. My hands were torn up from rope climbs the day before, making every set of toes-to-bars painful. The garage was pushing 90°, the chalk wouldn't stick, and I honestly wanted to quit after the first round.
To top it off, I had to stop in the middle of the workout to get my son from his crib (you can actually hear him on the monitor in the video), and I let the clock keep running.
No excuses—just the reality of training while balancing work, family, and chasing bigger goals.
The day before I hit a front squat PR. The very next day I struggled just to finish a workout. That's fitness. Progress isn't linear.
I kept putting my head down and moving until every rep was done.
Next up: getting my hands healed and attacking one of my biggest weaknesses—toes-to-bars. With the new pull-up bar, it's time to build better rhythm and efficiency.

Broke PP 10/5 each round. Intended to break TTB every 5 with very short breaks to keep a faster pace but those breaks got longer as the WOD progressed. I ended up doing knees-to-chest for the last 5 reps of round 4 and last 10 reps of round 5 - I looked at the clock and asked myself if I wanted to try and make a 15 min cap. Pretty sure I would have finished under 15 had I done KTC throughout.

Thought I'd be good with a little extra so I went for 165lbs...that was a mistake. Still spent way more time of T2B.

Yeah, that combo was sneaky. Nice job!
14:28 with 115lb and tuck ups on the ground with hands at sides hollow body position to start and finish each rep ( toes to bars have been too frequent and are super easy but aggravate my SI joints lately)
Really had to strategize to keep it under 4 sets on the final round. Push press in 2 sets R1 which took 2m for the entire round. Round 5 was 4 sets/over 4m
