1st Lt. Damon Leehan died Aug. 14, 2011, while deployed to Afghanistan. He was killed by an improvised explosive device while on a mission. He was the 1,742nd soldier lost in Operation Enduring Freedom.
Leehan was a devoted husband, father, and citizen soldier who served two tours of duty. A dedicated serviceman, Leehan answered the call to protect his country while balancing his family responsibilities. Leehan is survived by his wife, Audrey, and children, Emma and Ethan.
