Stimulus and Strategy:
Today, you'll push the limits with a 2,000-meter row time trial. Hit this one with an all-out effort! Look at your last 2K row test, and use that time to gauge how you’ll approach today’s workout. Plan to push the pace with all you’ve got while also maintaining sound mechanics. Find and hold a sustainable pace for the first 6 minutes, then speed up at the end. Those performing the workout as prescribed should target somewhere between 1:45-2:30/500 meters.

Same as Rx'd.

6:42.0 Rx. Kept the pace between 1:40 and 1:42 and the damper at 10 throughout. Got the first 1k right under 3:21 which means I kept a steady average pace in both halves. Started pushing w/ 500m left, but I think at that point it only prevented me from going slower than 1:42 rather than going under 1:40. That hurt kinda a lot.

Great job on making up that WOD and then improving on your 2k after!
Love seeing all the rows after other workouts, way to push.

241230: (for continuity's sake) Rx row, 7:18.6
I just wanted to do something else today that I could complete within a similar time domain. I have rowed so many 2k's and was just not in the mood for another, plus the knees and back liked the swim better. I knew 500m would take significantly longer than a 2k row given my current proficiency level in the water, hence the distance chosen.
Smart move. I wish we did more swimming in CF, though that's a tad harder logistically than going dowstairs to the basement. Swimming is such fantastic exercise.

My warmup turned into the Rx. I didn’t want to suffer the pain twice. Lol
I’m still here everyday. I love seeing everyone’s posts even if I don’t post myself. 💪
Jonathan! Great to see you! And sweet time to boot. You're clearly not slacking off, even if you aren't posting. C'mon back with us, man!
