Complete as many rounds and reps as possible in 20 minutes of:
15 chest-to-bar pull-ups
50-foot dumbbell overhead walk
30 AbMat sit-ups
100-foot dumbbell front-rack carry
45 box step-ups
150-foot dumbbell farmers carry

♀ 35-lb dumbbells, 20-inch box
♂ 50-lb dumbbells, 24-inch box

Stimulus and Strategy:
Today’s workout is a longer effort. Expect this to be more of a grind rather than a sprint through each round. Most athletes should aim to complete around three to four rounds. Choose a load for the dumbbells that allows you to maintain unbroken overhead walks, front-rack carries, and farmers carries.

Scaling:
Reduce the loading of the dumbbells, the distance of the carries, and the volume of AbMat sit-ups and box step-ups.

To reduce the complexity of the chest-to-bar pull-ups, perform a chin-over-bar pull-up, a jumping chest-to-bar pull-up, or a ring row. As for the box step-ups, reduce the height of the box or perform alternating lunges.

In case of injury or limitation, perform single-arm ring rows in place of the chest-to-bar pull-ups. For the AbMat sit-ups, perform plank holds for 30 seconds to 1 minute. If there is an overhead limitation, perform a second front-rack carry or farmers carry.

Intermediate option:
Complete as many rounds and reps as possible in 20 minutes of:
15 chin-over-bar pull-ups
50-foot dumbbell overhead walk
30 AbMat sit-ups
100-foot dumbbell front-rack carry
45 box step-ups
150-foot dumbbell farmers carry

20-lb dumbbells, 20-inch box
35-lb dumbbells, 24-inch box

Beginner option:
Complete as many rounds and reps as possible in 20 minutes of:
15 ring rows
50-foot dumbbell overhead walk
15 AbMat sit-ups
100-foot dumbbell front-rack carry
15 box step-ups
150-foot dumbbell farmers carry

10-lb dumbbells, 12-inch box
15-lb dumbbells, 20-inch box

Coaching cues:
During the farmers carry, focus on pulling your shoulders back and down — sticking your lats in your back pocket — as you are walking with your dumbbells.

I was going to finish the fourth round and do some movements from 250426 but ran out of time - poor time management this morning. Broke once each set of pull-ups. Had a turn around every 25' for DB work - could have done 50s but 35 is the heaviest I have a home. Alternated feet every 5th step-up but all UB. First 2 sets of sit-ups UB.

A logistically difficult workout for my home gym. Pull-ups and box step ups in the basement, with carries and abmat sit-ups in the garage/driveway...3 transitions each round. A relatively low metcon stimulus with these movements, so my only breaks were in the pull-ups, except for the transitions.

Done outside, pull ups from an old metal clothesline pole, ab mat su on the picnic table top & step ups (with one 35# DB) to 20 inch picnic bench. I totally could have gotten that 3rd round done in time if my "stations" weren't so far apart. That's what I get for going barefoot- in-the-backyard style😂

Forgot to look at total time


Couldn't remember the minute on the clock when I started hence not sure of the Tumilson time but still PR'd it regardless (20:12 I believe last year). Plus, managed to not look at the clock after the last set of pull-ups. First set was rough after doing all those DB burp DLs - lats were on fire.

Rxd at the Y best I could. No abmat, used a bosu ball. Box step ups to 28” (platform without markings).


2R + up to 2 box step ups.


Walks were all with both DBs but if these were supposed to be box steps with two 50 lb DBs I didn’t interpret it that way.


3 rounds is cruising. 4 rounds is elite. Not sure if I missed something on this one but kept it moving and still didn’t hit 3!

same here. I basically did everything unbroken except for the strict Chest2Bar Pull-ups.


it was especially the stepups just took very long


but it was still an awesome wod!!

Great job, James! I read it as doing the step-ups slick. HQ will typically specify if step-ups are weighted.

Same, I read it as weighted step ups, but could not hack 2DBs after the first few & so did them with 1. Reeeeaally wish I had read it as unweighted now!

45 step ups, with 4 extra inches each...that's a lot more work than rx, when its all added up. An odd looking workout for a conventional gym. Did you get some "what's wrong with him" looks?

Globo wod: if needed split up the dumbbell carries to fit your space or do 30-60-90 second holds. For box stepups sub stepups to a bench or other stable platform if a box isnt available.
