Concerning the foundation version.
What is the standard for counting jumping jacks? Is every jump 1 rep or is 1 rep when you return to the start position?
I’m wondering if the foundation standard is 1 rep at start position, we’ll have foundation participants completing twice the amount of jumps as scaled and even Rx participants who will be doing SUs or DUs.
what are your thoughts?
3-Open21-1_ScoreStandards-Foundations-47ednj763g.pdf
Yes, they technically will be doing twice the amount of jumps.

Considering how bad my double unders are, I’m happy with the score.
The wall walls were tougher than expected. The 10” tape was about 2-3” closer to the wall than I’m used to.

Hard for me to close the gap on those last 6 inches to the wall...

Charlie, I believe the standard was within 10". Looks like you went above & beyond. Nice work!
Hi Steve, to be more exact, hard for me to close the last 6 inches to that 10 inch line...
Gotcha and I concur. I still stand behind the "Nice work".
Thanks Steve. I might give it another go on Monday.

For the foundation version, I’m seeing bear crawls but there isn’t a standard description for what 1 bear crawl is (distance, steps etc). Can anyone advise?
See here:
https://s3.amazonaws.com/crossfitpubliccontent/3-Open21-1_ScoreStandards-Foundations-47ednj763g.pdf
"Prior to starting the workout, mark a 5-foot section on the floor for the bear crawl. Each 5-foot distance equals 1 bear crawl rep"
Thank you so much for your response!

As rx’d, made it through 15 wall walks + 70 DUs, 294 total.
Wall walks were nasty, but I fully expected that. Tried but failed to minimize the rest in between them in later rounds. Double-unders were okay, not great.
Rhythm felt good but after 30 or so I was drowning. Pleased with the effort.
Ian (16yo) did this with me, doing scaled wall walks and single-unders. He got thru 15 + 115 for 339 total.

Was going to do scaled as listed but decided last minute to do DUs instead of SU - I need the DU practice. Did the 150 DUs after the time cap for good measure. Shoulder strength is a definite weakness for me, but ROM of my right wrist makes full wall walks very painful.

I hint at this in the MAIN DECISION part, but I really think it' important to be able to see these workouts listed through different lenses: training and testing. If you want to see where you stack up against other people or yourself, or you want to give yourself a solid retest number for the next time it comes up, then do them as close to as listed as possible. But if there is some specific theme that pops up in the workout that you want to emphasize, then don't hesitate to scale it to practice what you need to.
WHAT ABOUT THE MOVEMENTS
Wall walk themes - changing orientation, rigid midline, pushing from the shoulders, stamina
Double under themes - jumping, elasticity, accuracy, stamina
MAIN DECISION
Test or train?
