Scaling:
Today’s workout is meant to be sprint efforts. The loading of the squat snatch is meant to be on the heavier side. This will force most athletes to perform 5 fast singles in each set. Push the pace on the burpees and finish as quickly as possible. Scale the loading of the barbell and the number of burpees to complete each set in 2 minutes or less, giving you at least 1 minute of rest between sets.
Intermediate option:

This did not start off well. Was hoping to do squat snatches but was having a tough time in the bottom position of the overhead squat. I actually restarted the first round
switching to power snatches. I was also planning to just do 7 rounds for time, and not worry about starting every 3 minutes. Seemed challenging and I was mentally not in the right headspace for that today. As I went along though, a round every 3 minutes seemed doable, so I committed to that and was able to complete. Great lesson that even though I started this workout feeling shitty, I stuck through and felt a real sense of accomplishment by the end. Snatches got a little tricky by the end.
Also – bar-facing burpees shall now be referred to as “devil burpees”.

Made up a scaled Diane from 240906, results there, then just did a few rounds of 5&5 Hang Squat Snatch (empty BB) and burpees. Wanted to get a little of today’s movements in but still taking it a little easy on the body.

In the name of transparency; a majority of those reps were power cleans, with much less OH squats to match them. I also had to take a little extra time between sets to reset the iron plates and rubber mats. The transition to the last set was the only one true to the EMOM. The shortened rest and fatigue led to only 1 SS, 3 failed reps, 3 PSs and 1 OH squat to finish before 15 "1-footed takeoff" BF burpees 😅.

Globo wod: If on a platform sub burpees from the floor up to the platform, or over an object (like a dumbbell) off the platform, if there's not enough room to perform these on the platform. if you are using iron plates today scale to a load that you can control on the way down and allows for touch and go on the first set. If you are using non standard weight plates do low hang squat snatches. Dumbbell sub 8 alternating dumbbell squat snatches, single 45/75lb db (intermediate 35/50lbs, scaled 15/20lb), and 15 burpees over the dumbbell.
