Scaling:
Expect this workout to be a grind and taxing on your grip. Carry the dumbbells however you’d like on the weighted lunges — consider the front-rack position, resting the dumbbells on the shoulders, or the farmers-carry position as potential options. Reduce the dumbbell load to move with limited rest on both movements. If you don’t have dumbbells or kettlebells available, load the lunges and carries with a 30/45-lb ruck or backpack. There are no excuses. If possible, consider performing this workout on a 400-meter track.

Powergym was crowded this morning, but I had a small lane on the 25ft(?) turf. Probs should've done more lunges. I hate lunges. Need to do more lunges and add a little weight every now and then. Haven't done FarmerCarry in a while. Forearms were screaming. Gotta get carries in like once every 2weeks.
Quick moderate squat, quick moderate squat snatch, and heavy sets of pullups, dips, shoulder press, and cable row done before, plus 1 mile easy jog conditioning after.
Hit the grip stimulus, but missed the lunge mark. Checked the box on this one and just got in some movement after work.

One of the longest miles I have ever "walked". There is a 100% chance of soreness tomorrow. Heck yeah.
Is hook grip allowed on farmers carrys?
I found myself reverting to "hook grip" after the first lap. Helped me out.

Throughout the workout, I kept reminding myself how all these grip strength gains might help my Jiu Jitsu lol.
Oh my gosh---I kept thinking how this well help
me control my breathing during bjj :)
How often do you go?
My son and I just go once a week
Great improvement on your time my man! At a minimum, upping that grip strength can't hurt that ground game!
Thanks, guys! @Mike: I try to go 3-4 times a week. It’s fun and humbling. That’s cool you and your son go together!

all lunges unbroken until round 4. went from farmers carry lunges to front rack (to relieve grip) for rounds 2-4. the farmers carry's were light jogs at times to try and make at least 50m unbroken each time I picked up the DB's. after yesterdays red-liner this felt nice.
