Can anyone tell me is it Lateral jump over or just Lateral jumps on box and then either step down or jump down?
In the video demo it looks like you jump laterally completely over the object, and it looks like you can use an extra side step for momentum.

I haven't been on here that long, but this was the most intimidating workout to date - combo of being afraid of reactiving an old shoulder injury with the SDLHP, and surprisingly, the side jumps are feeling freaky - and I wasn't sure what to expect. Time constraints mean I only did 15-12-9-6-3. Subbed double kbell cleans at 12 kg, and a 9" object to jump over. Next time I can go higher though. Took 7:19. I may redo this one sooner rather than later with a higher object and more reps.

Didn’t push the envelope today, but the goal was to do it Rx without wiping out on the lateral jumps - succeeded. Stepped down from each jump.
Good job doing it Rx’d
RXd. Anchored a wooden rod to the top of a 24" box jump for the lateral jump overs.

Read some notes from 2012 and tackled this one without any breaks in SDHP and jump overs. Took my huffs and puffs between stations.
Great idea!

It's a workout that looks very easy on paper but it was dreadful.
I did the adaptative version as I still need to rest my leg after LCA surgery.

It doesn’t get more CrossFit than that. The SDLHP is one of the most CF unique exercises of the nine foundamental movements from the L1. I wonder how many coaches and athletes regularly teach, program and exercise it? Honestly, in retrospective, I did them all wrong tonight. Does the SDLHP meet the other contestants and is it worth the title? Thoughts?
I'm still trying to reconcile it with fear of re-injuring one of my shoulders. I'm actually going to sub double kettlebell cleans in a moment.
Beginner. Did it as prescribed. Kicked my ass

new to CrossFit so 1st post on here.
12.07 with 45kg/99.2lb bar (I’m in the uk so we’re all kg.) and 24” box.
Great job and welcome, you and most of the world use kg. Lol
Globo wod: for box overs you can sub a bench or other comparable height object to jump over. If you don't have a barbell today sub kettlebell SDHP (53/70lb [1.5/2 pood]) or dumbbell SDHP 2x 25/35lb dumbbells.
Champions Club Scaling Notes
RANT
Nothing to rant about
WORKOUT THEMES
Gymnastics and weightlifting. Jumping, changing orientation, gimmick (although sideways jumps probably would be good to bring up more often), accuracy, core to extremity, shoulder internal rotation
SHORT MEDIUM LONG
LIGHT
MEDIUM x
HEAVY
STAMINA SCALE
Mush everything into 1 round... I'm not doing the math on that after the struggle I had a few days ago
COORDINATION SCALE
Same rep scheme, but make it sumo deadlifts (not high pull) and regular box jumps
SPEED SCALE
Sub burpees for SDHP, or another movement you can do that you already have good technique on. Then practice SDHP during the warmup
MY STUFF
Did regular box jumps (step down) instead of lateral ones. Used the first 2 rounds as warmup then 15 and down was full go. Spicy, as Mel would say. 7:30
GENERAL FEAR LEVEL: 7
Nice!
