In Episode 4 of “Road to the Games,” the road to San Jose, California, runs through two Semifinals on opposite ends of the Americas.

At Copa Sur in São José, Santa Catarina, Brazil, the passionate, electric CrossFit community sets the stage for athletes like Anikha Greer — ninth at the 2025 CrossFit Games — and Kaylan Souza, who finished 14th last year and is hunting a top-10 result this time around. With only two men and two women earning a spot at the Games, every event matters.

Across the continent in Del Mar, California, the traditionally masters-only competition Legends Championship opens its doors to individual athletes for just four qualifying spots. The tight, five-event format leaves no margin for error. Olivia Kerstetter and Abigail Domit arrive with extra motivation after narrowly missing qualification the weekend prior at the Mayhem Classic. On the men’s side, James Sprague and Dallin Pepper compete side by side, each hoping to land in the top two. Danielle Brandon, Lydia Fish, Dylan Hamming, and a field of elite competitors round out the battle for one of the most coveted invitations in the sport: a place at the 20th edition of the CrossFit Games.

You can attend Opening Ceremonies live at the SAP Center in San Jose, California.
