25 years ago, CrossFit changed fitness forever.
In 2001, the first workout was posted on CrossFit.com. No paywall. No secrets. Just one workout posted publicly along with an invitation to post your score in the comments section.
That single post became the Workout of the Day (WOD) and grew into an effective training methodology, a global network of affiliates, and a community built on shared effort.
Along the way, CrossFit evolved. The workouts evolved. The culture evolved. But the core idea never changed: real, sustainable fitness, measurable, repeatable, and observable, done together.
Twenty-five years later, the WOD is still posted every day. Thousands of scores are still logged in the CrossFit app. And people are still discovering what they’re capable of, one workout at a time.
Here’s to a generation of fitness — we’re just getting started.
