5 rounds for time of:
35 double-unders
200-meter run
Post time to comments.
Compare to 220208.
Stimulus and Strategy:
Today's workout is simple and effective. If it looks “too easy,” go faster. This is a short-to-moderate duration effort. If you can perform 35 double-unders in 2 minutes or less, do the workout as prescribed. Remember, on Friday we will be performing Open Workout 25.1 as the Workout of the Day. Moderate today’s effort accordingly.
Scaling:
Reduce the reps of the double-unders and the distance of the run.
To reduce the complexity of the double-unders, consider performing 2 minutes of double-under attempts or 35 single-unders.
In case of an injury or limitation, consider substituting the run with a 500/700-meter Echo bike, or a 200/250-meter row or ski erg. For the double-unders, consider jumping jacks or a low box step-up.
Intermediate option:
Same as Rx’d.
Beginner option:
4 rounds for time of:
35 single-unders
200-meter run
Coaching cues:
Focus on keeping your elbows and your hands close to your sides as you perform your double-unders. As these two points get further from the body, your rope gets shorter.

Very fun one. Likely would have been a bit faster but felt like something was off on the run round 3 and then round 4 I noticed the belt was too close and rubbing against the wall creating much extra friction. So had to hop off and pull it back.

learned single under crossovers, have literally been trying my whole life without getting two in a row, watch one crossfit.com video and Voila! i can do a thousand in a row
Fantastic and congrats on those crossovers! I wish I had the same result on Dubs with watching the CF videos - I've done that but maybe I will revisit.

*Y'all wise ones who told me to lower the damper (4-5), I didn't like it & still kinda don't, but man, ish was cruising today, so thanks!!
**@lincoln, the other day when it was icy & needed switching from trainers to boots. Check these out, would be much quicker than changing shoes. Won't keep your feet any drier, but traction-wise,etc.
Awesome job! Thanks for the tip about the YakTrax, I'll have to check it out.

Should have subbed for DUs due to shoulder tendonitis. Rds.3-4 DUs struggled a lot. Better in rd.5 but I was already way behind the clock at that point.

Nice! I'm half tempted to redo this with 2xSUs just to get an idea what may be possible if I can get my Dubs squared away.
Great work, Jonathan!

Runs may have been a smidge slower this time as today's speed didn't bother the knees, but it was one of my worst DU efforts in terms of execution not for lack of trying - just couldn't string them together well, tons of trips with the marks to show. Not sure how I've got worse at Dubs over the years, but it may be time to have someone watch and provide some coaching.
I have that experience -- like, no problem doing 50 some days, other days maybe I can't even string 10. I believe it's correlated with whatever other movements are programmed that day, messing with the timing.
That's still a good time with working them in! Maybe it's the rope?!? I bought one I like a lot recently & I've gotten better (when I bother to practice). Closer to stringing a few together anyway. It's by WOD Nation.
Nice job going Rx!
For me, I notice that when I start missing Dubs, I’m not keeping my wrists close enough to my body (due to fatigue) and I adjust them and that helps. Also, I focus my eyes on a fixed point. Hope that helps.
Thanks ya’ll!
Favo, I got a nice rope from Rogue but maybe I don’t have the length right.
Coastie, I do focus on a single point but perhaps I do need to pay more attention to where my hands are at.
More work to do.
