Half Chelsea
Every minute on the minute for 15 minutes perform:

10 pull-ups
15 push-ups
20 squats

If you fall behind the clock, keep going for 15 minutes and see how many rounds you can complete.

Scaling:
If you are unable to complete a round in 50 seconds or less when fresh, reduce the reps.

Intermediate Option:
Every minute on the minute for 15 minutes perform:
7 pull-ups
12 push-ups
18 squats

If you fall behind the clock, keep going for 15 minutes and see how many rounds you can complete.

Beginner Option:
Every minute on the minute for 10 minutes perform:
3 ring rows
6 elevated push-ups
9 squats

As rx’d, 12 rounds + 15 squats.


Was on pace through the first 7 minutes, but push-ups degraded and I couldn’t hang on.  Got almost another 6 rounds in the remaining 8 minutes.  Started

breaking push-ups in round 4 or so.  Tough one – did pull-ups unbroken but they really sucked the life out of me.

14r+12 reps in 15m -not as rx’d. I did actual half-Chelsea...5/10/15 rep scheme. This is a pretty normal Cindy score for me historically and definitely a PR for number of full Cindy rounds EMOM so pretty happy with this. Gymnastic kip/pull-ups UB

pushups became a struggle in round 9 or 10 and did 6/4 up until then.


Pushups and possibly cardio held me back from completing this. Asthma not well controlled right now...

Completed 10 rounds in 15 min.

Had to change to butterflies at round 2 bc of time, was doing kipping pullups.

Lost against time at min 4

Complete - Sc (6-11-16 rep scheme. On Chelsea last time I tried this rep scheme and got about 10 rounds in and had to back off. Today I kept all rounds under :50 seconds. Push-ups were the limiter again, and chest is sore from ring dips. Knee was a little off in the later rounds but is getting way better.)

first 4 rounds as planned, on the 5th round i went to kneeling pushups, round 9 i went to 4 pull ups and 8 knee push ups, round 13 went to 3 pull ups 8 knee push ups. This was killer

As Rx:

Completed 14 rounds plus all but 4 squats. Completed 15th round a few seconds after the 15th minute.

I was a bit apprehensive in trying this one for the first time today as I was a bit sore and stiff from doing Linda a couple days ago.

I was happy how I started basically finishing each round easily and quickly with about :18 - :20 left for first 10 rounds. I then went to see how long I could hold on for remaining 5 rounds.

I was ok until last round. I ended up just finishing 14th round and not quite able to finish last round.

I broke up the last push up round into 3x5 and that was the difference in time. I was zapped in the chest I think from doing Linda a couple days ago. I never bench.

Still a great quick paced WOD. Fun to do and first time trying it out.

Nothing to rant about


WORKOUT THEMES

Light and medium. Pushing, squatting, and pulling (with skill) at levels that stamina will play a factor but not quite enough to decrease intensity.


MAIN DECISION

What do I do with these push-ups?


TECHNIQUE SCALE

Same rep scheme, decrease ROM on pull-ups to keep the kipping rhythm, snake push-ups, extend to 20 minutes.


CONSISTENCY SCALE

8 rounds of:

2 rounds of this triplet, rest 1 minute between rounds


INTENSITY SCALE

Cindy


INJURY SCALE

Upper-body - AMRAP in 15 minutes of: 15 sit-ups, 25 squats

Lower-body - AMRAP in 15 minutes of: 5 strict pull-ups, 5 strict push-ups, 15 sit-ups


MY STUFF

Regular Chelsea reps for a bit (strict pull-ups), then dropped to 8 push-ups, then 8 squats.

Globo scale: If you are subbing strict pullups sub down to 5-7. If a pullup bar is not available such as a hotel gym sub 12 dumbbell upright rows 35/50lb (or heavy band) or 10-12 bodyweight rows from a Smith machine, railing, treadmill arm, or a towel hung from something sturdy.


Busy gym: Just hog a pullup bar for 15 minutes. If this is not possible do 5 minutes of max pullups then 10 minutes AMRAP of 15 pushups and 20 squats.
