I used 45 lb DB

i wanted to go unbroken and move constantly and quickly. Wasn’t sure if I would want to break up the 50s.

great workout in the garage tonight.

small space and easy to set up and test yourself.

completed 6 rounds plus 7 squats.

good workout overall. Pushed but stayed eleven with the pace throughout ghost.

Thanks HQ for the workout and helping out our affiliates. Once this is over and we are back to CrossFit gyms we will be taking our health even more serious. Primeira vez que vejo um treino que desequilibra a musculatura no decorrer da série! O correto seria ou só usar agachamentos, ou só usar push ups! Quando na primeira parte de snatches é precedida por agachamentos não ocorre falha do ombro! Na segunda parte é precedida por push ups, que geraria falhamos Sanches seguintes com o braço esquerdo! Se a cada round a recomendação for de iniciar alternadamente a cada ciclo, série começando com squats, série começando com push ups tudo bem!

mas do jeito que está o braço esquerdo somente ele sofrerá fadiga extra! Ou seja a sequência está assimétrica! Sugestão somente !

Globo/Home scale: Most can do this as Rxed if they have a dumbbell of the requisite weight. If it is heavier, so be it. If you have only a kettlebell of the same weight, use that. Heck, you can even use those water jugs, milk jugs, a backpack full of books or weight, a weight vest, or even a can of soup or beans can work, if scaling. Today we give back to the community. If you are not a member of an affiliate, consider making your donation to a box you have dropped in previously. Affiliates are the backbone of our community; keeping them alive and healthy is an excellent way to keep the methodology we all love thriving.

The workout today is simple, not easy. Choose a weight for the snatches that you can do unbroken for the whole 10 minutes. Modify the push-ups to something that you can also keep unbroken the entire time. The objective today is simple: the only break you get is the transition between movements. This will hurt the lungs pretty good. Commit to keep moving, and remember that the workout starts at the second half, so save your speed and oomph for those last five minutes, that's where you push.  

If you are an old-school crossfitter, use a medicine ball as a target for your squats and make sure the push-ups are honest: chest to deck every single rep.

Express your love for CrossFit!



▶ OPTION 1

Complete as many rounds as possible in 10 minutes of:


10 squats

9 dumbbell snatches, right arm

10 push-ups

9 dumbbell snatches, left arm

GENERAL WARM-UP


3 rounds of:

30-seconds of jumping jacks

10 hollow rocks

10 push-ups to a side plank

10 Cossack squats


SPECIFIC WARM-UP


Air squat

5 squat therapy reps

– 3-sec. eccentric and 3-sec concentric

5 air squats with feet together

Champions Club Scaling Notes


RANT

I know Coach Glassman said that luck can only be bad, but we are all some kind of good lucky to have found CrossFit.


PURPOSE

Obvious. Also nothing worse than having a pizza all to myself thinking tomorrow was going to be a rest day, only to see this come up.


MAIN DECISION

Do I want to do this as ex'd to be part of the thing, or do I want to modify this to fit my needs.


WHAT ABOUT THE REP SCHEME

Honestly not sure why 9 instead of 10 on the snatches. Maybe adding up to 19 or something. Either way, nothing should be broken up except maybe the push-ups as you get into the late rounds.


WHAT ABOUT THE MOVEMENTS

Fry out the legs, fry out the arms, so use the hips for the snatches!


LEARNING HOW TO COOK

10 minutes is short, so that means it's assumed out technique is good enough to allow us to go fast and unbroken. If we don't have that capacity, we might want to extend past 10 minutes.


I DON'T WANT TO COOK, JUST GIVE ME FOOD

Get your score at 10 minutes, extend to 15 and slow the pace down if needed.
