Carter Robert Couch died June 28, 2022, at the age of 2 after dealing with complications from epilepsy. Born Nov. 14, 2019, Carter was the son of Matt Couch, Associate Head Athletic Performance Coach for the baseball team at the University of Texas. Carter loved to join his dad at the stadium to hit, throw, and work out. He also loved to play with his cars, read, and dance — always with a smile on his face.
Carter started experiencing seizures at 1½ and was diagnosed with epilepsy. He fought bravely for over a year, but lost his battle in the summer of 2022. Family and friends say Carter was a sweet, caring, and empathetic boy who had a special way of connecting with people.
