Stephane Rochet and Whitney Martin hit some heavy deads while at the CrossFit Games. Workout of the day for 220831:

Deadlift 5-5-5-5-5 reps

Scaling:
Ideally, each set will be as heavy as possible for 5 reps, but newer athletes should start light and add weight as they are comfortable.

If you are able to do five sets of five repetitions (especially at the same weight across and particularly for the deadlift) then the barbell is definitely not loaded heavy enough and you are most likely doing a volume (“medium”) day…
