  1. Pricing Details
    All listed prices include applicable VAT (**) where required. CrossFit reserves the right to update pricing at any time. Pricing is applicable at the time registration opens, and the price displayed at checkout is final, plus any applicable local taxes.
  2. Certificate Validity
    The Level 2 Trainer Certificate is valid for 5 years from the date of issue.
  3. Registration & Timing
    Registration is available until the course is full or the start date is reached. In select markets, pricing may increase by up to 20% in the 14 days before the course begins, so early registration is recommended.
  4. ACCME Accreditation
    CrossFit, LLC is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

  5. Revalidation Requirements
    Effective May 1, 2024, Level 2 trainers may no longer attend the Online Level 1 Course to revalidate their credential. To maintain an active credential, participants must re-attend the Level 2 course or advance to Level 3 by passing the CCFT exam.
    To qualify for revalidation pricing, participants must hold a valid Level 2, Level 3, or Level 4 credential, or have earned a valid Online Level 1 or Level 1 credential prior to April 15, 2022.
  6. Payment Options
    CrossFit has partnered with Klarna to offer buy now, pay later options for select courses. If eligible, this option will appear at checkout.
    USD: Monthly financing through Klarna issued by WebBank. Other California resident loans made or arranged pursuant to a California Financing Law license.
  7. Travel & Attendance
    Travel and accommodations are not included. Full attendance is required for the in-person portion of the course. Please plan your travel accordingly. 

Preparation for the Course

We strongly recommend completing at least 50 hours of coaching using the CrossFit methodology before attending.

Practice Coaching Skills

Online coursework, such as Scaling, Spot the Flaw, and Lesson Planning, can help you prepare for the practical components of the course and build confidence before attending.

Meet the Level 2 Coaching Standard

With experience and preparation, the Level 2 helps you refine how you coach, apply the methodology more effectively, and deliver higher-quality classes.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Anyone who has ever held a CF-L1, CF-OL1, or CF-L2 can register for and attend the Level 2 Certificate Course, even if their credential has lapsed.

  • To receive a Level 2 Trainer Certificate, one must:

    • Have held a CF-L1, CF-OL1, or CF-L2 at any point, even if the credential is lapsed.
    • Be in good standing with CrossFit, LLC.
    • Attend and participate in the entire course.
      • Approximately 9 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. each day for the two-day in-person course.
      • Approximately 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. for the Hybrid course.
    • Successfully complete the Level 2 online assessment within 30 days of course attendance.

    If you do not meet these requirements, you are issued a Certificate of Attendance. See the Level 2 Participant Handbook for more details.

  • Level 2 participants must complete a post-course online assessment to receive a Level 2 Trainer Certificate and earn the CrossFit Level 2 Trainer (CF-L2) credential.

    The test …

    • Consists of 40 questions, and participants must correctly answer all 40 questions to complete the assessment. There is no limit to the number of attempts a participant can make to complete the assessment, however, the assessment must be completed within the 30-day period following their course attendance.
    • Is taken on a personal electronic device and internet is required.
    • Is offered in many languages, including: Arabic, Chinese, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese (Brazilian), Russian, Spanish (Castilian, Latin American).

  • CrossFit, LLC designates this Live Activity for a maximum of 13 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

  • Course

    English is the default language for the Level 2 course. In some countries, a translator is provided, and lecture and small group practical sessions are translated in real time. Courses with a translator are specified in the “Language” section from the event registration link. Generally, translators are used in Latin America and some countries in Europe and Asia.
