Semifinal Event 2
Make 3 attempts, for load, of:
3 cleans + 2 front squats + 1 jerk
Post loads to comments.
Scaling:
This heavy day is a barbell complex. Newer athletes should spend time drilling the mechanics of each movement, start light, and slowly add weight as they become comfortable.

Warm up específico con barra, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70 y 80kg 1 squat clean 1 front 1 jerk. No dejes estar tus molestias. Conseguite un buen especialista.

185 - 195 - 205 (F)
The fail at 205 was on the jerk. Didnt even attempt it. Just super gassed after other lifts in the complex. Woo-doggy, that was painful.

So sketched out to do this alone after seeing those failed jerks from the Semifinals. I actually put my wife on FaceTime for the 225# lift.

Complexes like these seem much more taxing than (even multiple reps of) a single movement. No problems with 175, but 195 was tough. Didn’t have much left at 205. Went back down to do another set at 185 – also tough.

Repainting the gym - no access to most equipment for a few days. Subbed this:
20 minute AMRAP
10 push-ups on parallettes
15 abmat/butterfly sit-ups
20 squats
13 rounds + 6 push-ups = 591 reps

Couldn't train yesterday due to an extremely long day at work that left me pretty stiff and sore, so I kept this light with a few more reps.

RANT
Nothing to rant about
WORKOUT THEMES
Using stamina/fatigue as a way to test power in the Olympic lifts. A high output followed by a long rest. Also some strategy.
SHORT MEDIUM LONG
LIGHT
MEDIUM
HEAVY x
SCALING FOR LIMITING FACTORS
Coordination - pick one of the movements and just do a typical max effort format
Stamina - lighter weight and do 8-10 reps in a row of each
Power - give yourself 2:00 to complete all 6 lifts, reset if needed between lifts or movements
MY STUFF
Checked the box today. Did about 10 sets at 135 in between cleaning and setting up stuff
