Remember the Deadlift/Burpee Event from the 2008 CrossFit Games? The prescribed weight for the Women’s division was 185 pounds, and proved to be a brutal couplet, with a time cap of 12 minutes.

Watch Jamie Simmonds (formerly Greene) complete the couplet with the prescribed men’s weight of 275 pounds.

I'm sorry but if you're going to showcase this workout you may as well carry out the movements correctly. You tell me what was wrong.

Yep. Maybe I'm wrong, but if I recall correctly, the movement standards for burpees detailed in the judges course are different than what was demonstrated here (half-ass burpees). I would have "no rep'd" every one of them. Let's just enforce standards. Still impressive though.

There are a lot of movements done differently in competition than in every day workouts. Honestly, it’s why I stopped competing. While competition burpee form is sound, there are too many other movements where going sloppy is rewarded despite the heightened risk of injury.
