Wes Piatt: Holding the CrossFit Standard

Wes Piatt is one of them.

A Senior Trainer and Seminar Staff member since 2013, Piatt has led more than 100 Level 1 and Level 2 Certificate Courses, impacting thousands of lives along the way. But his mission goes beyond the whiteboard. As the owner of Coast Range CrossFit in Gilroy, California, a husband, and a father of two, Piatt lives the standard he teaches: real food, daily movement, kindness, and consistency.

For Piatt, wearing the red shirt isn’t just a role; it’s a responsibility. Being on Seminar Staff means more than teaching others. It means holding yourself to a higher standard, every single day. It means staying curious, staying humble, and never arriving.

“To be on the CrossFit Seminar Staff means that I’m constantly pursuing excellence,” Piatt says. “I’m constantly pursuing the white-belt mentality of never feeling like I’ve made it.”
