Inside the CrossFit Kids Course
Through lecture and hands-on practical sessions, participants learn about CrossFit Kids training theory and methods as well as specific strategies for keeping fitness fun.
Lecture sessions provide CrossFit Kids training theory, methods, and coaching strategies.
Movement instruction is supported by kids as demonstrators to exemplify kid-appropriate cueing and the best approach to training kids.
Through breakout sessions, participants learn to identify sound movement mechanics and appropriate corrections for all ages.
Participants learn how to pair fitness with fun using a combination of workouts and games.
- There are no prerequisites to attend this course and receive a Certificate of Attendance.
- In order to receive a CrossFit Kids Trainer Certificate and designation, a valid and current CrossFit Level 1 Trainer (CF-L1) or higher credential is required.

IS THERE A DEADLINE TO REGISTER FOR COURSES?
No. Registration is available until the course is full or the start of the course, whichever comes first. However, there is a 20-percent fee added if registration takes place 14 days or less from the date of the course.
IN WHICH LANGUAGES IS THE COURSE OFFERED?
The default language for the CrossFit Kids Certificate Course is English. In some countries, a translator is provided. Lecture and small-group practical sessions are translated in real time. Courses with a translator are specified in the “Language” section from the event registration link. Generally, translators are used in Latin America and some countries in Europe and Asia.
WHAT SHOULD I BRING TO MY COURSE?
You should bring a government-issued photo ID, the CrossFit Kids Certificate Course Training Guide, and a pen or pencil. You will also need suitable clothes for working out. Food and beverages are also recommended if you do not plan to go off site during the lunch break.
HOW AND WHEN ARE CERTIFICATES DELIVERED?
Your certificate will be sent electronically to the email address used for registration within two weeks of course completion.
HOW MANY CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDITS (CEUS) ARE AWARDED FOR COMPLETION OF THIS COURSE?
Upon successful completion of this course, a Certified CrossFit Trainer may claim 14 CEUs toward continuing education.
ARE PRIVATE COURSES OR COURSES SOLELY FOR TEACHERS/EDUCATORS AVAILABLE?
Yes. The CrossFit Educators Course is a private course option that can be custom-designed. The Educators Course is scheduled upon request and can be hosted on campus to allow a large number of staff within the school district to participate. The course can be specifically structured to focus on either the elementary/middle-school or middle/high-school levels in order to provide the most thorough and relevant information to address particular participant needs.
