Macro view template analysis
Today is the third day of training cycle template and it was dedicated to rest, similar to last cycle. In this cycle, the pattern of 2 days on, 1 day off is followed for programming; instead of following the common pattern of 3 days on, 1 day off as I already explained in the analysis of the previous cycle.
Workouts Structure:
First day followed “For Time” template. It was a triplet modality that combined a moderate distance row with high reps of gymnastic movement and
moderate weightlifting movement. The main purpose of this WOD was to challenge the muscle fatigue. This WOD improved the muscle fatigue capacity and lactate tolerance threshold. This high volume WOD takes about ≈ 16 min. Advanced athletes can do it under 14 min. Cardiorespiratory endurance, stamina and strength played the major role in this WOD. Moreover, the aerobic system was the dominant energy pathway in this program.
Second day followed “For Time” template. This exercise was a couplet element that is combined of a moderate weightlifting movement with a moderate skill gymnastic movement. The training purpose was to improving the stamina. This WOD was fire the shoulder and core muscles. This high intensity WOD takes about ≈ 6 min. Advanced athletes can complete this WOD less than 4 minutes. Strength and stamina played the major role in this WOD. Moreover, the lactic acid was the dominant energy pathway in this program.
Conclusion
In this cycle:
The combinations of MGW and WG have been used, respectively.
5 movements were used.
No single modality can be seen in this cycle.
Overall, 2 energy pathways (aerobic and lactic acid) were challenged similar to last cycle.
Moreover, the cardiorespiratory endurance, stamina and strength played the major role in this circle of programming.

Enjoy your rest day and recover your physical and mental dimensions
