While at the Scholarship Level 1 Course at CrossFit South Philly, Seminar Staff Head Trainer Larry Thomas walks through a muscle-up progression on the low rings.

Before an athlete is ready to attempt the muscle-up skill on the high rings, “there’s some homework that needs to be done before we get to that point,” explains Thomas. “The first step in the progression is going to be ring support.” Watch for the full step-by-step skill development.

Hidden progression: position at 5:50 if we were to run a ring row with our feet that far forward in the false grip for sets of 8-12, with the mindset of turning it into a muscle up.

Very good muscle-up progression, and good to see the health benefits of wearing the masks.

Very good muscle-up progression, but there is no health benefit in wearing the masks.
