CrossFit HQ: we are vibing! I was reading her poetry book yesterday.
I want to share this one as well:
Praying
It doesn’t have to be
the blue iris, it could be
weeds in a vacant lot, or a few
small stones; just
pay attention, then patch
a few words together and don’t try
to make them elaborate, this isn’t
a contest but the doorway
into thanks, and a silence in which
another voice may speak.

Great poem by a great poet! I still dream of trees and lying in a hammock, but rarely get there. I will take those moments when they come as times to rest in the "big-ness" of the world, as times to prepare for what life throws our way.
