CrossFit gyms will make you better, whether you're new to working out or a longtime athlete. Putting in the work and making healthy choices is hard, but when you surround yourself with a supportive community of people who share your goals, it becomes a little bit easier — and a lot more fun.

The magic is in the movement, the art is in the programming, the science is in the explanation, and the fun is in the community.

No kids in polo shirts pointing you in the direction of the cardio machines. The coaches inside the affiliates are hands-on, personal, and genuinely invested in your success.

Getting better is hard — for everyone. The shared experience of personal betterment creates bonds and mutual respect among members not seen in traditional fitness centers.

CrossFit gyms aren't machine-filled facilities with a desk attendant and no coach. Instead, you'll get personalized attention in a group setting from a world-class coach.

Each CrossFit affiliate is unique, but all share in a relentless and continual pursuit of excellence — excellent coaching, excellent programming, and an incomparable community that supports you in your goals.

Pursuing excellence was the guiding tenet from the early days of the original CrossFit gym in Santa Cruz, California, and the concept has continued to guide larger decisions related to CrossFit as we evolved into a global network of over 14,000 gyms spanning 155 countries. The overarching purpose of the CrossFit affiliates is to bring more quality training to more people.

While CrossFit can be done at home, in garage gyms, in a park, at the beach — CrossFit affiliates connect you with expert coaches who can guide you in the safest ways to implement the program.

When you walk into a CrossFit gym, you never have to walk alone and unguided through a sea of bulky equipment and mind-numbing machinery. Instead, you’ll work with a coach and others like you who will help you move and feel better. When you walk into a CrossFit gym, you’ll get the sense that we’re in this together.

Small Businesses, Profound Results

No gimmicks — just effective fitness, knowledgeable coaches, and a community that cares.

We want to fuel a revolution in fitness that advocates the pursuit of function, not form — that measures performance, not anatomy. We want rings and bumper plates in our gyms, not machines. We believe that where you train is less important than how you train and that who you train with matters more than what gear you have. We know this can be done in little boxes and we’ve proven that the garage is as good an environment as any for Forging Elite Fitness®.

From the beginning, the CrossFit movement has provided an alternative to the prevailing commercial gym establishment and its signature “big box” approach to fitness. CrossFit affiliation is a grassroots movement started by CrossFit athletes who wanted their own local gyms, trainers, and communities. It has become a call to all who care about fitness to get the car out of the garage, pick up some dumbbells, a barbell, a few plates, a pull-up bar, and some rings, and hit the Workout of the Day. Inviting a friend to participate compounds the experience. Start training with a few friends and before long, you’ll need a bigger space. This is how many CrossFit affiliates get their start.

Our affiliates are located all over the world and constitute a community of committed fitness practitioners united around safe, effective exercise and sound nutrition.

For more than two decades, we’ve helped hundreds of thousands become healthier, fitter, stronger, and better through CrossFit. It changed the face of fitness and will continue to change lives as our affiliate community grows.
