Joshua Murphy started CrossFit in the early 2000s when there were only a few dozen people posting on CrossFit.com. His first exposure to Coach Glassman’s generosity was in 2004 when Joshua contacted Greg about sending care packages of gear to troops stationed in Afghanistan, and Coach’s response was, “Let’s do it.” Joshua has continued to serve the CrossFit community ever since. Joshua holds an MBA and lives in Portland, Maine, with his wife and daughter.
Thomas Crubaugh was volunteering and participating in CrossFit classes before there was a dedicated CrossFit gym. He has served CrossFit, Inc. as an employee since 2008, eventually becoming responsible for the formation and management of the Risk Retention Group (RRG) and risk management for CrossFit HQ. He is a founding member of the CrossFit Foundation board of directors. Prior to his work with CrossFit, Inc., Thomas used his MBA training in multiple industries as a controller, financial analyst and financial planner.
Lynne Pitts, a 21-year Air Force veteran, began CrossFitting in 2003 and worked for CrossFit, Inc. in volunteer and part-time status beginning in 2004. After a successful military and government career, Lynne joined CrossFit full-time in 2008 and has used her experience and Masters degree in Applied Management to support the growth of the CrossFit business across all departments. Currently, Lynne is the senior operations manager. Along with Thomas and Josh, Lynne is a founding member of the CrossFit Foundation board. When not CrossFitting, Lynne studies Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in her adopted state of New Hampshire.
Jeff Cain is the Chief Executive Officer of CrossFit, Inc., and a founding partner at American Philanthropic, LLC. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and holds a Ph.D. in English Renaissance Literature. He previously worked as President of the Arthur N. Rupe Foundation, Secretary of the Lillian S. Wells Foundation, and Executive Vice President of the Intercollegiate Studies Institute.
Bruce Edwards is the Chief Operating Officer of CrossFit, Inc. Bruce started doing CrossFit with Coach Glassman in Santa Cruz before the first box. Bruce supports all aspects of the Foundation and the business side of CrossFit, Inc. Prior to his work with CrossFit, Bruce was Executive Vice President at West Marine Inc.
Matt Holdsworth is a native Arizonan and the Chief Financial Officer of CrossFit, Inc. His accounting firm, Holdsworth Chadd Fuller CPAs PC, has worked with businesses for more than 12 years to provide specialized Accounting, tax, and CFO services via state of the art technology platforms. Matt is currently the Chief Financial Officer for CrossFit, Inc. Matt enjoys CrossFit with his wife and their six children.
Olivia Leonard is the Executive Director of the CrossFit Foundation. Prior to her work with CrossFit, Inc. and the CrossFit Foundation, Olivia managed the national competitive and civic debate program at the Arthur N. Rupe Foundation, and served as a development consultant to state and national non-profits and foundations through her work with American Philanthropic, LLC. A native of Portland, Oregon, she lives in Phoenix, Arizona.
