Jeremy Gordon (CCFC/CF-L4) has built an inspiring resume over the course of his 13-year CrossFit coaching career. It’s clear his study habits, work ethic, and intrinsic love of coaching have made him the master coach he is today.

The 27-year veteran will retire from the Air Force in August 2021 after serving as an F-16 and F-22 fighter pilot, instructor, and evaluator, and accumulating 3,000 flying hours.

Jeremy started CrossFit in 2005. He opened CrossFit Hampton Roads in 2008 and ran it until 2014 alongside his wife, Nicole Gordon (CrossFit Seminar Staff, CF-L4). He has coached CrossFit athletes in group classes, cadets while teaching physical education at the Air Force Academy, and competitive-level and CrossFit Games athletes.

We met up with Jeremy at his home in Colorado to hear more about his story, discuss all things CrossFit, and learn about his journey as a coach.

Just the absolutely best humans and some of the very best of the elite educators that make the CrossFit community what it is. Thank you for sharing!

This is such a brilliant piece. I love that CF is willing to focus on the lesser known affiliates who may never send a competitor to the Games, but will continue to make people's lives better because of their investment of time, energy, and passion. It's amazing to me that, while he was serving our country flying fighter jets, he found time to qualify as an L-4 trainer. Definitely an admirable story!
