Recent review seems to indicate the benefit is limited from both fish and plant sources

Thank you! This and other articles like it that CrossFit highlights are really helpful in explaining to clients (who want to know) why Omega 3 fatty acids can be beneficial in their nutrition.

Extremely motivational. Excellent highlight of the fact that Cody needed to decide for himself that a change needed to happen. The best coaches in the world are standing by to give people everything, the individual though still needs to have the courage to show up and then continue doing so.

We need to find a way to get CrossFit classified as 'Essential for sustaining life'.

Easy! All we have to do is preach the importance of: 150 minutes a week of light to moderate exercise. The Food Pyramid. Drinking water (and preferably Gatorade) before you're thirsty. Arms day. Avoiding squats & deadlifts. Anything else I missed?

Thanks for sharing this paper and breaking it down for us. I found the section on resolvins to be interesting.

“RvE1 actively switches off leukocyte trafficking to the inflamed site, promotes the clearance of inflammatory cells and debris, and suppresses cytokine production, thereby leading to resolution of acute inflammation [21].”

I’d love to hear more of your thoughts on resolvins. They seem like a promising way to mitigate the damage done by inflammatory immune responses. It is a bit disturbing that NSAIDS and steroids seem to block their effect. So, they make us feel less pain, but might delay the healing process.

They might even be relevant to covid-19, since inflammation is a major risk factor. And cytokine storms, to my understanding, are out-of-control, unresolved inflammatory events.

Next time I’d like to see more about the most important pillar, nutrition.
