all other exercises as rx'd

Comment #21 - Posted by: Nelson Teixeira at August 9, 2014 5:12 AM

no rings for muscle up or bar to do c2b pull ups, so had to go for strict HSPU's instead, with all the others as rx'd.

Sorry, slipped on the key board.
My score: 350 reps (still PR though)

Comment #29 - Posted by: Tomas (Sweden) 40yo/5'10/159 at August 9, 2014 7:54 AM

7 rounds + 2 muscle-ups

Should have been able to do 9-10 rounds, but the walk to the muscle-up bar cost me too much time. Had to do jumping muscle-ups, but tried to use as little help as possible by starting with nothing to stand on and slowly added a plate to stand on til I could do one, and kept going only adding when I failed once or twice depending on how much I failed. The highest I got was standing on a step-up platform which is about two and a half plates thick.

Comment #30 - Posted by: BW at August 9, 2014 8:48 AM

10 rounds, modified

No GHD so loaded the heck out of my leg extension bench and dropped it into decline (not quite enough ROM on the extensions, sit-ups not bad)

No rings so modified TRX muscle ups... Too much leg action for my liking but no way to avoid - had to start from seated pos'n

Gonnah have to convert the garage at some point to get enough height for the muscle ups... Who needs a garage in winter...

Comment #31 - Posted by: Matt (Halifax) at August 9, 2014 9:27 AM

10 rounds modified

Reps as RX

No GHD so loaded the heck out of my leg extension bench and dropped it to decline as far as possible - not quite enough ROM on the extensions but the sit-ups weren't bad

No rings and not enough height above pull up bar so modified TRX muscle ups. Too much unavoidable leg action starting from a seated pos'n (any is too much...) but still a decent substitute

Daughter watching my little pony in the background is an interesting juxtaposition to this workout...

Not sure why I'm posting this wod... it bares only a very remote resemblance to the posted workout.

20 min amrap

7 GHD sit ups (15 would blow my stomach apart)
15 deadlifts @ 95lbs (its too difficult to do hip extensions on our homemade GHD)
3 dead hang pullups (can't do muscle ups and very very few chest to bar pullups)
7 pushups (cause I should do these every day... right?)

Subbed 15 pull-ups and 15 dips each round for the 5 muscle-ups. All else as rx'd.

Subbed regular anchored sit-ups and good mornings over a railing; rest as rx'd. 9 rounds + 1 muscle-up.

A little under the weather, so took this at 80% or so. Muscle-ups went pretty well today. After tearing on my wrist, I switched to non-false-grip MUs without too much trouble.

4 reps short of 6 rounds. After 3 rounds I did 25 abmat sit-ups instead of ghd sit-ups so I wouldn't give myself rhabdo again. All else rx'd. Muscle ups are hard when you stop doing them regularly and gain 22 lbs!
