Why does it say "5, 10, 15 yards" in parentheses? If its a 60 yrd shuttle sprint doesn't that automatically make it 15 yds one way, 30 yards the other way, and 15 back to the middle?

Best way to do the sprints is to really set them up in true shuttle fashion. Have a start line, and set up 1 cone on one side (10 yards out from the start line) and two cones in the other direction (5 yards and 15 yards from the start line).

Also, bending to touch the ground next to the cones will add an extra level of conditioning to the WOD. Change of direction is brutal but a fundamental component of being an athlete.

For scaling weights, as a starting point,I usually use this equation:
Scaled Weight = (Rx Weight / CrossFitter Average Body Weight)x My Body Weight

@Mehdi - your equation will always work out to be the same percentage... if we rearrange the equation, it's easier to see:

Scaled weight = Rx weight * (Your BW / Avg CF BW)

Assuming 195# as the average CF BW, that's always going to be (158/195)*100% = ~81%

So you're basically always doing "Pack" scaling, which is about 80% of Rx.

Because of the area I was working in, I had to measure out the distance. I did 5 yard shuttle runs 10 times. I got the distance wrong for the first 8 rounds. I was 10 yards short. The last two I corrected the distance.

Had to do this one outside without much equipment. Same rep scheme but subbed 300lbs tire flips for the deadlifts, hill run (30m up and 30m down) for the shuttle.
