After Jack and Linda, I was hoping for a WOD like this. I may be too sore tomorrow to even do it, but I'll definitely make it up by Thursday. Thanks for this!

Comment #2 - Posted by: Greg at March 25, 2014 5:50 PM

I'm 194 - 200 lbs

145 power clean
195 bench
290 dead

14:31

I have to say that I really enjoyed this workout, these three heavy modalities work surprisingly well together. I went bench clean dead and was cruising nicely. In hindsight I could have pushed much harder but I have been working on better establishing my dead form so did drops earlier.

Do you do the cross fit warm up before a running wod

Comment #6 - Posted by: jk34 at March 25, 2014 9:28 PM

Predictions for 14.5? I think thrusters must be in there and we need something that gets heavy, otherwise only 1 heavy lift in the whole open. So maybe ascending thrusters? Perhaps as a triplet with burpees and something else? Ring rows would be great, but I presume they are out for judging/competition purposes. Who can read the Dave's mind?

I lead my platoon in this WOD for our daily pt session. My time was 10:18 for all 3 800 meter runs. Everyone was running a 2:45-4 minute pace. Most took less than 2 minute rest in between running intervals. Profile soldiers did 4 sets with 15 second rest of walking 800 meters.

Question for you:
I'm training for a marathon, so I'm already running 3x per week. When a running Crossfit WOD comes up, I'm inclined to skip it so as not to mess with my marathon training program.

Smart? Dumb? Should I run it anyway and take it easy, or does that defeat the purpose? (Especially with a 20 miler on the docket this week, I hate to add a full additional day of speedwork to the program.)

Outside in the wind. Theoretically, I'm going upwind the same amount I'm going downwind. But I chose my route so the downwind leg bordered the open space, and the upwind leg went through the neighborhood. I think it would've been slower the other direction.
