Great video, great cause. One request- it would be great to see the names of these mass killers not used in any reports- ever. Law enforcement has gone that way- only referring to the person as suspect or offender. They lost their humanity when they chose their path. For those killers who long to be famous, and plenty do, strip them of that. Do not let history remember their names. Let history remember the victims, and celebrate the lives they led and the families they left. Honor their lives and memories in the ways you see fit- do not let the killer's name tarnish our history. It's a quiet gesture that speaks volumes.

Did you do “Murph” yesterday? How’d it go? I’m still a bit behind you guys this month on the WODs. My challenge will be to figure out how to do the run (-9 F in Cleveburg yesterday) or how to sub. Gonna do it, though, that’s for sure!

Well, here it is, almost the end of your first month of CrossFit. In two days you will no longer carry the mantle “New Year’s Resolutionary”, but you will surely still be a CrossFit Newbie. How long does that last? What is the duration of Newbiehood? I guess it might be a bit like the martial arts: you are always in a state of learning, but after a period of time that is unique to each individual you will have achieved that state in which you CAN learn.

Or, you know, something like that!

Seriously, this CrossFit stuff is very powerful and it’s really important that you give it some respect. Think safety first when you look at a WOD and are trying to decide whether and how to scale or sub. Of the 5 most important things to consider when you are a newcomer and you are off to do your WOD the first 4 are SAFETY! You’ve grown on us grizzled vets this month and we’ve gotten accustomed to seeing you hang around; we’d be bummed if you went and hurt yourself.

Bingo - as someone that's been crossfitting over a year and has completed the L1 Cert course and trains athletes on an individual basis, I still look forward to your knowledge and insight here on the main site! Thank you for putting in the effort to guide the newbie crew through the first month, I'm sure not to be the only non-newbie that appreciates it!

@bingo - We all will miss the daily dose as well, one of the best CF Main-site months I have seen.

And just an Open question, pardon the pun.

It looks like I will be out of town during certain weeks of the Open. Can I just drop in a Box and do 14.1 regardless of the region I may be in?

@bingo - Thanks for doing what you do. I really looked forward to your posts over the couple of weeks I've been doing this, because I knew I was going to learn something to help me keep this up without breaking important parts of myself in the process.

20 lb wall balls - 10 reps
52 lb kettlebell swings - 10 reps
Assisted chin ups (still working on them) - 8 reps

Bingo - like others have said, your knowledge & command of the English language will be missed. Maybe you could taper? (haha that's a joke) At least if you keep posting results, that will suffice for our collective "Bingo" fix.
Also, reading posts from the folks I followed as a 'newb' has been fun & motivating. I hope the likes of Sherwood, Khalipa, Miranda, Spealler, Spider chick keep popping up here and there.

I started taking Olymp. lifting lessons 3 weeks ago for 3 days a week to improve in this area,
