The group photo from the Reebok CF 5th Ave Cert is super blurry :( Austin Malleolo retook the photo for us today because he said you guys didn't approve of our photo from yesterday because it was too blurry. Could you post the new, non-blurry one from today? :) I'd really like a nice photo to remember the weekend by.

Seriously one of the best experiences I have ever had! I had such a great time in San Antonio. The energy level from the trainers was amazing and made us feel more relaxed. The knowledge they had showed through during lectures and break out sessions. And even though you were in a group you felt like you were getting the perfect amount of attention. I learned so much and can't wait to share the knowledge and passion they shared with me at my own box! Thanks again for everything.

But in these five months i´m getting very exhausted and my immune system is dropping efficiency. Thiago, I am guessing you are also low-carb perhaps? if so, you may need to examine your diet. Add more salt, that should help with the fatigue. Read up on it online, will surprise you.

Comment #90 - Posted by: Ccash at November 18, 2013 9:55 AM

@62 If you are really feeling run down the first thing I would consider would be your rest. If you are still training heavy weights or long monostructural efforts during the programmed rest days then try taking a rest day in which the only "workout" you do is mobility or stretching. Spend the same amount of time with that that you would dedicate to a work out and then get back at it. If you are already doing that and truly taking good rest days then the next thing I would examine would be your nutrition. If you look at the Crossfit Journal there is a tab labeled training guide. Unfortunately it is only published in English, Spanish, and Italian. However you only need to read the articles on nutrition. They will help you establish a basic Zone Block RX that will help you fuel your body appropriately. I started strict zone a few months ago and it has made a huge difference in my energy levels and my gains.

As another resource, if you comb through the archives here and look for stuff by "Bingo" he leaves a lot of good thoughts on various topics but I would recommened looking at his comments he usually leaves very early in a given year. If you look back to January 1st and comb through the comments you will find some great stuff.

I hope that helps. Welcome to the Community. We are glad to have you. I wish I could give you an answer in Portugese as well. Sorry about that.

@Bingo- if you read this I'm sure our Brazilian Brethen could benefit from your sage advice.

STIR IT UP!!!!! Chicago L1 at Atlas Crossfit was an experience unlike any other. The knowledge, energy, and backgrounds of the staff was so much beyond what I was expecting. Reviewing notes, practicing drills/movement, trying to suck a little bit less than I did on saturday morning is my goal now. The chemistry of the HQ team was straight up explosive (Way to send us the A-Team HQ). Nothing mixes better than lecture, movements, methodology, thrusters, burpees, and beer...smells like Virtuosity to me...STIR IT UP BABY!

Last summer, I had bilateral knee replacements (they were having a two-for-one sale!), and I experienced a bit of that sort of attitude from people. I didn’t normally need anything but my walker when I was out, but in the grocery store, I used the little motorized shopping cart. When I think about it, I don’t know if people were really giving me “the look”, or if I’m so aware of these things that I assumed people were doing so. That’s part of the stigma fat people experience: Too often, we’ve internalized the hatred, and we sometimes heap the insults upon ourselves first before anyone else gets the chance. (And I’m a 51-year-old woman whose been involved in size acceptance for at least 25 years.) Thankfully, I’m back on my feet and mostly pain free! . syeda

CFWU-2. Superman. DU. HSPU instead of PU 2nd. KB skill work 3rd.
25:08-PR!
Happy w/time. Overall pace must've been good. Burpees 10/min taking break til top of min. DU good, esp toward end. Good hand position on rope. Accidentally switched lunges & K to E, but that may have hurt, not helped.
1/9/13: 26:26
Done at home. Not a good ROM on jumping PU. Still letting left shoulder/back recover. Used aerobic step & power tower. KB unbroken, PP - put bar down @ 36. Should've pushed through. Didn't remember back ext were next. Back ext too broken. Sets of 5 or so on last half. WB pretty broken. Longer breaks at 10's. Burpees pretty slow - fairly long breaks W 5's for last half. DU pretty bad, but better toward end when I slowed jump down.
8/2/12:27:34 Disapp. Most things decent except for WB. Only sets of 10 & those were slow & breaks real long. Did them outside, so ball slippery & I just suck. KB unbroken. K to E decent. First 12 unbr & good kip on remaining reps. PP - 2 small breaks, but didn't set bar down. First 36 back ext unbr then 7+7. Burpees - sets of 10 - breaks prob too long between sets. DU good thankfully or time would've been much worse. 30+19+1.
1/11/12:CFWU-1. Fr home in eve. Day after back from Vegas. 26:24-PR!

Not too pleased, but got it done. Subbed gmornings. K2E's killed my time, and burpees almost killed me.

Looking forward to the next time this comes around
