squat training night for me ... 305x6, 315x6, 325x6(x3)
total volume = 30 reps / 9570 lbs / avg 64% of 1RM

then I thought i would take my first stab at a WOD as my assistance work so I got everything set up to do "Christine".
* row 500 meters (time 1:56)
* DL 255 x 12 (easy except for sucking wind)
* whopping 8" 'box jumps' x 21 (no box, so I stacked four 2" boards I use for deficit and platform deadlifts)

man, do I need to get in shape (my background is powerlifting)! Finished 1 round in 4:55 and I was done. Next time I won't wuss out.

Didn't push as much weight as last time (275#) but made sure form was good and that I got all the way down on each rep.2:30 rest between sets.

Every time I hug KM, he crushes me with his arms and make me feel soft and weak. Devon is holding a tiger by the tail. This photo literally makes me uncomfortable for Devon.

After he kicks your ass, Kyle steals your girl friend with, "you know the second time I was on Oprah....)

Oh, and wrestling a world champ at anything? Not good.

Iv missed several workouts so i went back and did griff and part of barbara. griff 15:43
only got 2 rounds of barbara 1st at 4:57 2nd at 4:20.

I finally watched Emily Beers' video. I appreciate her candor about what the competition-side of CrossFit does to her, becoming all consuming and driving her to the point of asking, "Why [am I doing this]?" It seems to happen in most athletes who want to make it to the next level, in every sport. I'm glad she recognized it was happening with her and decided to do something to bring her back to center. I look forward to her next video installment in Haiti.
