Just got my new climbing rope from Rogue--anyone else get a giddy as I do when new equipment arrives?
So clean and jerks and some rope climbs:)

If its just one rep I assume its for strength meaning closer to 1rm as its the only type of exercise that would benefit from just 1 rep.

Bear Complex - 3 reps at 95lbs; 3 reps at 115lbs

1RM Clean & Jerk:
135, 155, 175, 185, 195 (failed the jerk at this level on two attempts)

Every 30 seconds for 10 minutes:
1 Power Clean + 1 Hang Power Clean + 1 Push Jerk @ 140 lbs (approx 75% of 1RM)

$O - 2 sets of deadlift 140lbs x 25 reps unbroken
10 Evil Wheels and I'm done....

Still learning and using good form.
Started at 95 lbs, 105, 115, 120, 125, 130 f, 125.
So I guess my pr is 125 for now. Tried 130 twice. Could clean the 130 but could not jerk it. Maybe next time. Ran a mile after and then walked the dog 11/2,miles.
Need to find a box close to home.

I pressed out the 155, but just didn't have the strength in the hips to drop into the proper Jerk position to receive the bar so afterwards I did three sets of 95# barbell walking lunges to help improve.

Clean PR was 155 and jerk PR was 135, so 160 is PR for both of those.

Strength: CFFB amateur DL 5RM @300# (up 5# from last week). Then 315x1 and 325x1. Wanted a new PR but weight was heavy today.

@ChuckB, John Welbourn, CrossFit Football founder and former NFL player says the following:

"When you start hitting the weights, certain days you feel like the weights are made of foam and you could lift the gym. Other days, the weights seem to be made of adamantium. Realize on the days when the weights are light, go for broke and set a new personal record regardless of what the program says. On the days when the opposite is true, all you need to do is survive and realize the weights will be there tomorrow."

Truer words have never been spoken and I love this mindset.

CrossFitting on and off for a long time now. Started with .com and then followed all different programs and have lost motivation over time to WOD on my own. Taking it back to the roots again to get motivated. Started This Sunday with 31 Heroes, Monday The Reverse Filthy 30:27 and today.

this was my first time doing c&j so i kept it pretty light. f/29/134 did some warm ups with the bar then 95-95-95-100-100-100-105 will be more confident next time.

This was done at about 90%-95% of most recent 1RM. Perfect weight for the WOD. 3 minute rest between sets. Did some Oly lifting beforehand as well.

Did 135, 155, 175, 185, 195, cleaned 205 failed the jerk.. Back to 195. Form was bad on jerk portion, need to keep elbows up for momentum.
