12:36.

I'm not Froning and I don't have a rope, so I scaled and subbed. Scaled to 75 pounds and subbed 5 hanging ring pull-ups for every rope ascent. Ring pull-ups had to be done in unbroken sets of 5. If I broke a set by my feet touching the floor I had to start over.

For time:
75 pound Thruster, 27 reps
20 hanging ring pull-ups
75 pound Thruster, 21 reps
15 hanging ring pull-ups
75 pound Thruster, 15 reps
10 hanging ring pull-ups
75 pound Thruster, 9 reps
5 hanging ring pull-ups

So close to pukie. Still sweating 25 minutes after.

Comment #3 - Posted by: Gavin at July 26, 2013 6:16 PM

This looks like the perfect opportunity for me to work on strict pull ups. I'll do that, along with the thrusters. I love watching this event online. Wow!!

About 9 days ago I was doing some warm up drills...200 m run 5 inchworms and 10 hamstring curls no weight...3x. On my 3rd round, on the hamstring curl, I heard and felt a tear f some sort in my right hamstring. I couldn't walk right away and felt horrible pain from the lower buttock, here the hamstring meets the lower back. Anyway, I've been icing, and aleve and still hurts going up steps and walk a little with a slight limp at times. I can't run at all. How long does this ake to heal? I assume its a small tear. I can't do thrusters, deadlifts, tire flips etc., but feel ok with lunges and rowing. Any suggestions my crossfit friends.? Feel free!

Go see an Orthopedic they ought to be able to tell you what grade, or how severe, the tear is. I would limit my lower body activities as much as possible, if I were you, until you get the green light.

Great video Dave Castro! As an affiliate owner, it feels great to know that the message I preach in my box is the same one preached at the great box in the sky, or maybe one step below in Carson, Cali.

I want to be able to teach the original messages and values of CrossFit as they have been stated all along. I hope the model used and the fitness revolution that CrossFit has set forth both stay the same forever.

Great job making the Games look as professional, as relevant, and as credible as any other "sport" on TV.
