I'm curious as to what to do if you don't have a bike. Walking lunges, wind sprints or hill sprints? In the process of collecting/building equipment.

Comment #6 - Posted by: Corey O'Bryan at June 28, 2013 7:35 PM

I do sumo deadlift high pull if theres no row machine. Probably about 70 of those for 1000 meters. That's what I'm going to do.

Comment #7 - Posted by: Stephen Jakubowski at June 28, 2013 7:45 PM

It's 100 sumos for 1000 m. I do DL sumos high pull with the 45lb bar

i wonder if doing jump ropes for so long was worth the time 45:00 out of that i spent 12:00 doing jump ropes which added up to 1369 reps, the rest of the WoD went fairly quick. so i think the rope might have added unnecessary time to the final time. not sure what else i could have done to replace bike.

No available bike, so I did the unofficial hero WOD "Tyrant" that Anger Ranger posted yesterday:
3 RFT:
22 pull ups
10x 195# deadlift (scaled from 225#)
22x 80# clean and jerk (1/2 bodyweight)
11x 160# bench press (bw)
500m row

51:02 one of the hardest WODs I've ever done. Esp. in 90+ weather.

Wanted to add that my upper body was on fire during the KB swings and I had to break up the 75; same for the 100 SDHP with just 20# of weight. I did try at least 10 reps of both with heavier weight, and knew I'd end up stopping sooner if I didn't lighten the load. Same for when I switched to dumbbell Thrusters...decided to keep it light. Still a great workout.

My lower back keeps getting in the way. My body isn't accustomed to moving repeatedly in this fashion (why I started crossfit). Instead of stopping I took breaks and did every rep.

Some scalin' and subbin'

3000m bike, 75 kbs (alternating 35# and 50# kb every 15 swings), 1000m row, 40 wbs 12# + 20 45# push press, 800m run, 45 gravitron dips + 60# help

22:17

Right knee tweakin' at 40 wall ball shots, so finished that round with 20 push press. Fun alternating 35# and 50# kbs swings -- ended up making the 35# feel like a toy-weight.

The rest was a good change of pace liked it WOD.

Not really sure where I could have saved a whole lot more time, just need to get back at it.
