Newer to crossfit

What does it mean when people say "Rx'd"

Comment #4 - Posted by: Prescott at June 11, 2013 8:02 PM

Rx is an abbreviation for 'as prescribed', meaning that they did the workout exactly the way it was prescribed on the website. Sometimes, because of physical limitations or lack of suitable equipment athletes will substitute lower weights (called 'scaled') or different exercises.

working rest day!

Scaled "Linda" aka 3 bars of death
Deadlift 115lbs
Bench BW 185lbs
Clean 115lbs

Used same weight for DL and Cleans so I didn't occupy 3 barbells in the gym.

10K Row today 43:07. Longest distance on the rower attempted.

Comment #21 - Posted by: Kurt M/39/185 at June 12, 2013 6:19 PM

M/ 39/ 135 lbs/ 5'-6"
I did an old WOD last night:
20 min. AMRAP:
6 Squat Clean 135#,
28 DU,
6 Shoulder to OHD 135#,
9 Burpees

3 Complete rounds + 4 Squat Cleans

I did this one last night with VERY little warm up. I got to the gym at about 9:20 and got right into warming up.
I then hit the WOD.
I did use wrist wraps and glad I did. I did need them. I used chaulk as well.
The Squat Cleans were nice overall...
DUs were no big deal, but messed up on the first set a bunch of times.
Shoulder to OHD was taken from the rack and done usually in a 4/2 or 5/1
Burpees were no big deal.. just bang them out.
I did not do any post WOD stretching at all.. just left the gym and walked the dog.. kind of tried to do some super light stretching while walking the dog.
