Comment #17 - Posted by: Glorybelle (F/43/5'5/135) at May 26, 2013 7:01 PM

As I said in the last thread, I'll be doing Murph tomorrow. I know many did it today. I hope many will do it tomorrow. We have the opportunity to do it where Murphy does not. He gave his life so that we might continue to have freedoms. He gave his life so those that worked with him could continue to live.

I'll post my results tomorrow.

Memorial Day "Murph" Workout of the Day at FOB Shank
Updated 8 hours ago
In memory of Navy Lieutenant Michael Murphy, 29, of Patchogue, N.Y., who was killed in Afghanistan June 28th, 2005. This workout was one of Mike's favorites and he named it "Body Armor". From here on it will be referred to as "Murph" in honor of the focused warrior and great American who wanted nothing more in life than to serve this great country and the beautiful people who make it what it is.

05/27 is not a "Rest Day" for the Troops Overseas.. see:-

I had such a great time with everyone in Columbus! It was great meeting not only the coaches but everyone else attending. The sense of comraderie and welcomeness I was given, being my first Crossfit experience, was absolutely incredible.

Joe thanks for the selfie on my phone, it's currently my wallpaper (just kidding). Thanks for the help on the ring musvle up! probably the best part of the weekend. Abi you are a beast! Always good to know there's a girl who squats (slightly) more than me. Andy, like the football coach I had in high school... your attitude, jokes and generally badass demeanor made me feel right at home. Nadia, it was great talking with you. Check your email! Rudy, didn't get to talk to you much, but your lecture on programming was great! so much good info. Lindsey, delts of a goddess indeed.. great athlete, teacher, and coach. Am I forgetting any one? Phew

What a weekend! Thank you

Had an awesome L1 weekend at Rogue with Nadia, Lindsey, Abi, Andy, Rudy, Joe, and Armand. The whole crew was amazing, and offered so many good coaching points!
Memorial Day was the Team RWB WOD for Warriors, "21 Guns": Partner 1 completes 21 pullups, 21 burpee box jumps, 21 fireman carry back squats of Partner 2, 21 burpee box jumps, 21 pullups. Partner 2 then does the same. Partner 1 repeats, Partner 2 repeats. 42:07 Rx, great event for a great cause!
