Did this workout on Sunday after doing "Jackie", rested 20mins, did event 2 and got 185lbs, then rested 2mins.

@Dan #11, I don't see why not. It's about improving your fitness. I have rings, but hang them at a playground and the highest I can get them is about 5 feet off the ground. Great for ring dips but bad for muscle-ups.

I sub based in what I have and my abilities. I'm improving myself.

my PR for muscle ups is a pathetic 3. i am training them almost 3xs a week.
that said this WOD is way out of reach for me at this time. does anyone have some good sub ideas? thx.

Do the burpee then do pull-ups and dips (ring dips if you can). That matches the movements of what is happening.

Some are subbing 3 pull-ups and 3 ring-dips for every muscle-up, and the FAQ suggest that is a good way to go, but I find it absurd. I can do muscle-ups and they aren't any more taxing or difficult than a pull-up and a ring-dip because I use a big leg swing to get them. Strict muscle-ups I cannot do.

15 min: At the park I used a straight bar for the muscle ups and did sets of 3 to 6 with equal sets of bupees, working in the occasional 400M run for recovery.

Muscle-ups hurt my bum shoulder if I use a bar, and since I don't have any rings I did a pull-up, then dip on a low bar in front of me.

Ran 5k this morning. 29:15 @ 8:51 min/mi pace. Good for me. Last time I ran anything over 1 mile was a month ago, and that pace was 9:45. CrossFit works.

30 sets of 1 burpee, 2 pullups, and 3 dips. Kinda lame I know. In my defense I don't have rings and can't kip or get barely any momentum on my pullups due to the structure of my bar. Was a good workout though.

Uh, no.

Instead:

10-8-6-4-2 deadlifts at 65-85-105-125-145. First bar deads since ripping bicep (via dead) in Jan. Felt good.

Then for time: 7x (36m swim, 10 poolside muscleups) = 10:30

Finish off with 60 sec plank, 60 sec rest, 90 sec plank, 90 sec rest, 2 min plank

Can't do muscle-ups and can hardly do dips and chest to bars which are a work in progress.... (must have them by next years open... and maybe a muscle up too)

I did

4 rounds of:

5 chest to bar pullups
5 ring dips
5 burpee box jumps (25" box)
5 clean and jerks with two 1 pood kbs

We coaches here in CrossFit ILC first do a daily wod and teach clients the same workout 1 or 2 days later. Personally, it's been great for my friend and me to be able to at least finish this muscle-up workout. So the time taken doesn't matter!

Not bad. Just slow & steady. Kipping after hand turnover made dip portion easier. Easier when I did snaky Burpees. Got away from this in middle. Pushed up gain towards end.
