Comment #7 - Posted by: connie m at May 2, 2013 5:31 PM

If you photoshopped her head out of this pic it would look like it was right up the horse's arse... hahaha

Comment #8 - Posted by: Casey at May 2, 2013 5:32 PM

Is horse s**t paleo?

Comment #9 - Posted by: Kevin at May 2, 2013 5:34 PM

Comment #12 - Posted by: GBelle at May 2, 2013 5:45 PM

PETA is going to be all over this one.

Comment #13 - Posted by: taco101 at May 2, 2013 5:55 PM

Every wrestler that I've ever met has been a really true person that knew how to work hard - really hard. You can just see the positive influence that wrestling has had on them. I hope Olympic wrestling can be saved so that doesn't go away. Great film, Tim Jackson.

Comment #14 - Posted by: Andy O. at May 2, 2013 6:08 PM

That h.s. position is broken. In many ways. Unlock the feet. But points for creativity.

Comment #15 - Posted by: Mel/40m/5'10"/180 at May 2, 2013 6:21 PM

Yes! Wrestling teaches discipline and toughness like no other sport. Thanks for spreading the word! This makes me love CrossFit even more!

Comment #16 - Posted by: Kyle at May 2, 2013 6:22 PM

Wrestling will be back. Wrestling Nation will not stop until the IOC gives up. Like the Crossfit community, we are a community as well. And we come with mean double legs and back arches. Best sport in the world. And Crossfit is hands down the best, very best supplimental training for wrestlers. And the best training for us retired wrestlers/wrestling coaches. Period. Thanks Crossfit.

Comment #17 - Posted by: Jeff at May 2, 2013 6:41 PM

Pink eye? More like stink eye...

Comment #18 - Posted by: Travis at May 2, 2013 6:49 PM

Thanks for the film on wrestling. Does any one know the IOC email address?

Comment #19 - Posted by: Kevin McClellan at May 2, 2013 6:52 PM

That horse has its ears back, good luck with that.

Funny stuff!!!

I absolutely love the constantly varied crossfit photos...

Comment #20 - Posted by: Chrisso at May 2, 2013 6:54 PM

Comment #21 - Posted by: taso at May 2, 2013 7:04 PM

Comment #24 - Posted by: Barberic at May 2, 2013 7:24 PM

As a wrestler in the CrossFit community, thanks for the post. We need all the support we can get. Save Olympic Wrestling! - Great video by Jay Mohr.

Comment #25 - Posted by: Dave at May 2, 2013 8:27 PM

Sticking her face in the horse's butt was the second worst decision she made. Vacationing in Peublo, CO? I've been there. Trust me.

Comment #26 - Posted by: Glenn at May 2, 2013 8:48 PM

Didn't fill like resting today.

Did "Gwen" @ 95 pounds:

Clean & Jerk 15-12- and 9 reps
Touch and go at floor only. Even a re-grip off the floor is a foul. No dumping. Use same load for each set. Rest as needed between sets.

I lost grip on rep 9/12 and had to start the round of 12 over. Absolutely brutal.

Comment #27 - Posted by: G at May 2, 2013 8:51 PM

That may well be one of the most ridiculous things I have ever seen...

Comment #28 - Posted by: JB at May 2, 2013 10:17 PM

I useta " wrassle" and the sport can't compete with a face in a horse butt. Nice pic!

Comment #29 - Posted by: Nick at May 2, 2013 10:41 PM

Represent P-town !!! Love it

Comment #30 - Posted by: Taylor Nichols at May 2, 2013 11:49 PM

Yeah, not my idea of a PR or fun!

Comment #31 - Posted by: Matt at May 3, 2013 12:09 AM

Comment #32 - Posted by: denis at May 3, 2013 12:54 AM

Potentially explosive!

Comment #33 - Posted by: Charlie at May 3, 2013 2:56 AM

Why is wrestling on the olympic chopping block, while backyard bbq games badminton and ping pong are safe?

Comment #34 - Posted by: jack m/31/5'11/165 at May 3, 2013 4:16 AM

Pleasse take the time to watch the wrestling video and sign the petitions. We cannot let olympic wrestling fall by the wayside.

Comment #35 - Posted by: royce at May 3, 2013 4:22 AM

Everything that guy said about wrestling is absolutely true! The problem is, a large part of our society doesn't understand wrestling. There are kids in my 10yr. old son's class that say wrestling is "gay" and pick on him a little. In fact, there is no wrestling program what so ever in the district he attends school at, I have to bring him to a private club to learn. It truely sickens me.

There may have been a better way to execute that "tail stand", but good job on thinking outside of the box.

Comment #38 - Posted by: Augustus at May 3, 2013 6:26 AM

Even with icing slathered on it. A horse turd will never become a cupcake...paleo or other

Comment #39 - Posted by: Richard at May 3, 2013 6:57 AM

Two excellent videos. Thanks HQ!

"...extend that hand to the least of these, in need. As we are healed rebuilding ourselves we have a great opportunity to help rebuild a child." Thank you Daryl and friends for doing the Lord's work.

I'm sharing "Wrestling with Iowa" with my son, who has been wrestling 2 years through Jr High and can't wait to compete in high school. Special love for wrestlers! The IOC has made an extremely poor decision.

Comment #40 - Posted by: GBelle at May 3, 2013 7:04 AM

Must be an awful lot of people who have never seen trick riders at the rodeo. Watching people do this and other tricks on a cantering horse is pretty damn impressive! Well done if that was your first try Sierra.

The horse is listening (doesn't have it's ears "laid back").

Comment #41 - Posted by: Gene at May 3, 2013 7:06 AM

"Barbara" scaled to 10-20-30-40. Still my least favorite "Girl".

Comment #42 - Posted by: bingo at May 3, 2013 7:25 AM

This quote says it all:

"These are the guys in it for 1 reason and 1 reason only, to have their hand raised in front of 14 parents in Boateng, New Jearsy, when it's freezing cold outside"

Save Wrestling!

Comment #43 - Posted by: Anthony Rubino at May 3, 2013 7:53 AM

I'm just thinking that number one rule of a horse is stay away from it's back-side. She could have gotten kicked in the head; pretty dangerous.

Comment #44 - Posted by: Ram at May 3, 2013 8:16 AM

Great video- Save Olympic Wrestling!

Comment #45 - Posted by: Mark at May 3, 2013 8:45 AM

I can't find the reference, but I read once that wrestling was the most played sport by US Special Operations personnel (or it might have been just Navy SEALS), followed by football, baseball, and swimming. If that is still the case, what impact will this have on our Spec Ops community?

And as a side note, Chris Spealler was a wrestler - if no wrestling, maybe Speals is 40lbs overweight, eating a donut while on the elliptical in some goofball globo gym with no wife, no kids, no friends, no, its just too damn depressing to even think about. Thank the Good Lord for wrestling - they both gave us Speals!!

Comment #46 - Posted by: Marty at May 3, 2013 8:47 AM

So they are getting rid of wrestling (one of the original Olympic sports) and keeping ice skating? Ice skating isn't even a sport, it is a performance. And it has been proven over and over to be corrupt. There is no sport greater for self-achievement than wrestling. If you win it was because of your effort. If you lose, the same. Same as Crossfit. If you post a new PR it was because of your effort.

Comment #47 - Posted by: Scott M at May 3, 2013 9:07 AM

I didn't feel like resting either...will probably pay for it tomorrow.

I wrestled some in high school. While CF is a great program and I'm in better shape now than when I was 30, it has NEVER exhausted me in the way wrestling did. I remember wrestling 112 lbs and post-match not even being able to hold a cup of water to drink. I couldn't even sit up till about the 138 match. Great developer of discipline and character.

Comment #48 - Posted by: Jim R./50/5'8"/160 at May 3, 2013 9:30 AM

The support the CF community has for wrestling is awesome! In all honesty I think it's because we all share the same type of work ethic. Working your A off. Good stuff!

You know when you have to drop the barbell due to shear fatigue and you are contemplating when to grab it again??? In wrestling the fatigue is the same but if your opponent isn't as fatigued, he is coming after you, the barbell isn't!!!

Comment #52 - Posted by: Rocky at May 3, 2013 10:28 AM

Yeah, seriously, a horse doesn't ask to take a bathroom break...

And for all that asked, wrestling is being removed in 2020 (will still be at 2016) to make room for new sports; golf. To really save wrestling, the viewership needs be higher. So, if possible, late at night on the Big 10 Network, you might see NCAA wrestling. Just turn it on, and if you don't like it, leave it on and walk away.

Chrisso- This horse has his ears turned backwards to hear whats going on behind him. His ears aren't back. There's a big difference. If he were mad, they would be more back and down not just turned around.
