FUN! All great ideas! This is what Crossfit is all about. Great work!!!

Comment #2 - Posted by: Anthony at April 30, 2013 5:54 PM

I going to use Roxanne for my PE classes. I believe I counted 27 "burpees" in the 3min 16 sec song. Great warmup!

Comment #4 - Posted by: Gulia at April 30, 2013 6:17 PM

girl, you don't have to put on the 'red light'!

Comment #5 - Posted by: Mel/40m/5'10"/180 at April 30, 2013 6:27 PM

@Gulia:

I remember hearing Matt Baird (10th after this years open) saying he suffered the same injury and wrote to Bill Starr to ask how to recover.. He said to start with an empty bar and do 3 sets of 25 on the movement you got injured with (back squat, deadlift, or whatever it was) and add a little bit of weight every training session. So you get used to the movement again.... It's the "old school method" i guess, but it worked for him...

Shane Dorian does Crossfit?

Comment #7 - Posted by: Curt at April 30, 2013 7:11 PM

@Curt #7 CrossFit does Shane Dorian!

Comment #8 - Posted by: Sam at April 30, 2013 7:22 PM

Shane does CrossFit as does his buddy Kelly Slater. Great photo and video and great WOD. Doing it in 45 minutes.

Comment #9 - Posted by: G at April 30, 2013 7:22 PM

Great ideas for warmups. I torture myself with double unders and burpees regularly . Love the innovative and creative thinking to make these warmups fun.

Comment #10 - Posted by: Fred at April 30, 2013 8:10 PM

Your the man Rob!

Comment #11 - Posted by: Doug Armstrong at April 30, 2013 8:12 PM

Just set a new PR on Deadlift and hit my April goal at my box yesterday. Great picture.

Comment #12 - Posted by: Nick Metzger at April 30, 2013 9:00 PM

Deadlift 3-3-3-3-3 reps:

160-185-205-225-275 then 295 (PR) x 3 broken

Haven't done much deadlifting (CFitter for only 2 months). Wanted to use this WOD as a warm-up and a way to find my 1 RM. Ran out of weight.

Comment #13 - Posted by: G at April 30, 2013 9:02 PM

Cool warm up ideas, and Rob Miller is pretty funny. I'd hate him for making me do all those burpees though. ;)

Did as part of Triangle strength cycle

Did 2 sets before this because I messed up math when doing at home.
Not bad. Good job pressurizing trunk & rotating feet out to engage IT band.
