Oh my goodness that is an amazingly awesome OHS photo!
You could take a wider grip, maybe.
I'm shocked...SHOCKED to see a Rest Day on time.
;-)
Either that bar is huge or that man is the smallest crossfitter ever.
Kurt obviously has some spare parts.
CHRIS SPEALLER BACK 2013!
New from Rogue Fitness, the Bean Pole Bar. Ultra long & holds 7.5 tons of bumper plates.
That is one of the best quotes I've ever heard.
Kurt woulda used more weight for OHSs, but his bar only had room for a couple bumper plates.
Is that the minibar from hotelroom?
Let me be clear: I love Chris Spealler.
That being said, there's no way he's gonna dethrone the champ. Best case scenario, he cracks the top 12. Barring an injury, Froning will three-peat. He's just that good.
Gonna be fun to see Mikko come back; the Games are gonna be so fun to watch this year!
Freddy C, let's make some noise on the Master's side!
Great, another way for someone to hog all the 10's! Cool pic!
I'm rooting for Kristan Clever this year. Hopefully, she'll make the podium, and maybe even take the overall title!
Team Kristan!
Ah man, I wish there was a workout today. :ยง
Subbed CF Pickens, SC WOD:
For time:
100 double unders
25 wbs (20 lb.)
75 double unders
25 wbs
50 double unders

I don't usually post regarding the posted video or comment, etc., but I really liked coach Glassman's analogy. Great one.. I have 2 sisters who are doctors.. I'll pass that one along and see what they think.
I've always thought of exercise, eating right, etc./ living a healthy lifestyle as a true long term recipe for well being, and all the medications in the world only mask, or account for certain problems for only so long... things add up, and problems beget more health problems. The body is totally liked together... if you're putting crap in for too long, if you're not exercising and getting the body to work the way it was designed then sooner or later you will feel the effects, and you're body will change for the worse. Why can kids play all the time and adults have a problem with that? Well, we as good parents control what they eat and we give them good stuff to eat, we make sure they are getting good rest, we don't give them things to worry about or stress about, they don't have negative thinking and feel like they should be able to do almost anything so they don't hold themselves back, they don't have egos and so they are in the student role where they realize that by listening and doing things over and over they will get better and they are constantly improving in everything..... We as adults hold ourselves back with our own limitations, and we don't hold ourselves to the same standards that we hold our children. We consume crap, we stress about things that we don't have any control over, we don't allow ourselves to enjoy the simple pleasures... Not sure why.
re #16 MajorDad - thanks for posting/sharing
the link about Christmas Abbot. Never woulda seen it otherwise.
I was wondering what happened to my lance; I haven't been able to joust in weeks.

Ditto that, thanks MajorDad!

I don't presume to know exactly what coach was saying but I don't think he is talking about the feasibility of transplants from a medical/scientific capability.
He makes mention to the election. Does the 'spare parts' analogy maybe come from the presumption that the Affordable Care Act will decrease the ability to get transplants?

Thanks @MajorDad #16 - great article... and some epically stupid comments to the article on the Yahoo! page.
Ooh-rah Chief Revels! Looks like your doing well. I'm gonna try to get Kory to do that tomorrow.
Coach my brother and father are lifeguards - I'd MUCH rather be a swim coach!
Rest days are just a chance to run more.
Kurt is a stud!! Really cool picture.
in my job as a nurse-midwife i function as a lifeguard but now with crossfit level I i get to be a swim coach too! now just have to join the two!
That. Is. AWESOME! Hilarious!
Burgener is always talking about using the energy of the bar at the bottom, imagine the help you would get from those weights bouncing way out there haha.
