Any recommendations for a good blender to make smoothies with? (one that can crush ice well and not break?)
Also, any thoughts about how smoothies affect insuline release and how often you should or shouldn't have them as meal replacements?

One hell of a workout! Gonna refer to it as the "Shameless Seven" for shamelessly uncovering my lack of strength.
Had some breathing issues I still need to figure out, I believe it might have been some kind of allergic reaction due to hyperventilation in a dusty room. On the other hand I might just need to pace myself better - rushed through the first round in about a minute and that. was. not. wise.

Holy hell, I feel like I just rode the fast train to sucktown.
Excuses first, then I'll post my time:
I was pretty much up all night with a couple of sick kids. Managed to fall into a half sleep at about 3:00 am and woke up thinking about the WOD at 5:30 am. Was really close to talking myself out of it, but decided to drag my butt into the garage gym and at least start moving. "Tomorrow is a rest day" I told myself out loud, "you can do it."
During my warmup, I thought I was gonna pass out. I felt light headed and a little dizzy. Once again, I considered skipping the WOD...but I forged on.
After a thorough warmup, I concluded that I would scale this to 135lbs for the jerk and regular chin-over-the-bar kipping pull-ups. That turned out to be a really good call, cause I didn't know if I was gonna make it after just two rounds.
I fought my way through it, panting...gasping for air...talking to Jesus...you know the drill.
Props to the studs doing this one Rx'd. The jerk is definitely the meat on this sandwich and I am stuffed.

Cleaned the bar off the floor each set. For me this was all about the PJ's; C2B and burpees were welcome breaks. Wanted to go unbroken throughout, which I did, but prob rested too much before each set of PJ's.

@ Memuc -- thanks for the nice words. Unbroken but slow esp towards the end; luckily I can tolerate the front rack position for a long time in between reps. My thought process as things progressed was "maybe around 10 minutes" then "maybe around 12 minutes" then "maybe under 15 minutes" etc. You all know how that goes...

Blender: Magic bullet. Note: have not tried with ice though.
Smoothie contents: 1/3 cup to 1/2 cup of Liquid egg whites + 1 whole raw egg + half cup frozen berries* + 1/2 to 1 cup milk (or fruit juice).
Nutrition: haven't measured it but guess probably 20 grams protein/5 grams carbs/1 yolk worth of fat. I grab a handful of mixed nuts or pistacio's to amp the fat a bit too (don't blend the nuts, hehe.)
Mixes up in about 1 minute start to finish.
* Berries are real low glycemic index and taste flippin great. I throw them frozen right into the Magic Bullet for breakfast. I also pull out a separate cup of frozen and put into fridge for fruit later in the day.
I used to be hypoglycemic, now the low glycemic diet plus crossfit and I'm a rocket again.
I've also started using Muscle Milk first thing in the morning to fire things up right away and keep an even keel of blood sugar through the morning. Mix MM in a hand shake like blender while I'm working in the office.
Google "glycemic index" and do some reading. You'll figure out what works best for you.

Following the precedent above, my excuses:
I'm still on antibiotics from some sort of bronchitis episode earlier this week and this was my first WOD back in 8 days (lung capacity was definitely an issue).
Scaled split jerks at 115lbs. I did manage to go unbroken through 4 rounds though and all rounds of kipping chest-to-bar pull-ups were unbroken. Burpees sucked the life out of me. Surprising level of core fatigue during later rounds of split jerks.
Great WOD, I'll be back tomorrow morning for more. No rest day for me.

That got nasty pretty quickly. Unbroken push jerks and burpees. Broke pull-ups starting in round 6. Have not done burpees for awhile - I did not miss them one bit. First olympic lifting of any kind I have done since the foot injury. Foot felt fine during the WOD, but is a little tender now afterward. We'll have to see how the next few days go.

Scaled push jerks to 135#. Harder than it looked.

Jerks toughest part of course. 4+3 on most rounds. Better when I would remember to keep lumbar tight, pressurize trunk as best I could & land w/feet in squat stance. PU pretty good. Good ROM.
30 minutes push jerk 135 was a tough
Scaled to 135 because I did power clean and jerks. No wonder it took me so long!
