"Leaving a Legacy" - [video]
Posted by Pukie at January 19, 2013 5:00 PM
Even though I don't use any "bad words", why does it seem that my posts keep getting held for approval by the blog owner or some similar message? Any insight would be great!
Thank you!
Hi RussA,
I've only had one post NOT caught by the filter this month. Don't take it personally.
:-)
Whaddaya think? Nutrition? See you in the morning.
"no it never gets easier. You would not want it to either." Coach G.
Tears of joy.
Best part of my day was watching the video "Leaving a Legacy".
I take great pride in this community. Thank you CrossFit.
This is stunning in its appeal for help, its message of love and hope, and its artistic beauty. Whoever made this video, Bravo. Incredible piece.
Coach, thank you once again. Over 7 years after I first found this "workout blog" at a friend's recommendation, I am continually renewed in my "faith" (and I mean that in its broadest sense) by things like this that CrossFit does - and continues to do - under your leadership.
Quite a ways for a guy who's "just" a trainer. ;-)
Caught up on FGB this morning.

Thanks Coach. For creating something that I can be proud of. For creating something that makes me better in countless ways, makes me want to TRY to be better. For showing me how I can use this thing, this CrossFit in ways that are small for me but scale so much larger for others.
Thank you for giving me places where I am free to express those parts of me that might be the best parts. For my seat here in the cyber-gym, lo these many years.
Thanks.
Darrell
Much needed rest day as I prep for the phx PF Changs marathon tomorrow...hope Fight Gone Bad doesn't bite me in the ass tomorrow morning

Great video, great job. Count me in if I can help somehow.
The best way to be thankful for what we have and what we are, is to help those in need.
Coach, I don't have a box, but I do what I can, with what I have.
Thanks for all your giving us.
2 kids have shoes...2 kids have "crocs / sandals" and five are barefoot. But at least they have a nice school!!!
Never complain...never
Truly inspirational. I am relatively new to CrossFit and do not yet have box, but this video lets me know that I chose the right path to bettering myself and bettering the world.
#16 - The interesting thing is that of those 9 kids, anyone of them is probably more talented, motivated, and selfless than 99/100 people who are more privileged.
This is going to be a killer! M/30/225
After that Fight Gone Bad- This looks like we're getting right back in. I've kind of noticed that "Fight Gone Bad" my endurance test for how good I've been doing with CrossFit. I scored bad; 205. I've been doing CrossFit for 3.5 months, and feel that 205 isn't where I want to be. I feel that with tomorrow's WOD onwards, I'm going to train better to score better for next times "FGB".
Overall- CrossFit has changed my life around, and I'm loving CrossFit. It fits just perfect in my daily lifestyle :-) thanks CrossFitter family for all the motivation, and giving me that challenge, and feedback to help start or end my day :-) have fun with this WOD. Jsteel.
M/ 38/ 135 lbs/ 5'-6"
I did a couple WODs this afternoon
(I had a good night's sleep and was probably going to take Sunday off)
I did 6 rounds of:
walking lunge with 45 lb plate overhead 50'
weight plate push (90 lbs) for 50'
I did this is about 8:00
I took a short break and then did:
a bunch of rounds of Bench Press + High Box Jumps:
high box jumps (28" & 32" with rebound off gound, 36", 38,40,42 all for about 8 reps,43,44,45" for about 5-6 reps (I only got 1 really good jump onto 45"... My legs were not quite popping up there after the first WOD.
+
10 reps of bench press I used 95,115, 135 for 3-4 rounds and then 155 lbs for the last round.
Rest for a few minutes then did 8 rounds of Tabata DUs
40, 40, 40, 40, 32, 32, 32, 26
Where can I donate some real soccer balls for the kids? Seriously.
